I could see Rove swallowing hard over and over again while he was commenting on the primaries last night. I think he was trying to force that big mouthful of crow down his gullet.

Rove is grasping at straws, desperate to save some face as is Cruz.
When have candidates continue to run when they have been mathematically eliminated just so they can fight in the convention?
This is simply spitting in the face of the voters who voted for Trump!
Trump made is very clear in his victory speech last night, that he is NOT planning to win a second or third ballot. He is running to win on the FIRST, with full delegates in hand. Trump changed the narrative by making that statement, and put aside all the BS we’ve been hearing about second and third ballots. Trump runs the race to win, not to come in second.

If Cruz was close in delegates I would say there is a logic to Rove’s comments but it looks like Trump, even without the 1237, will still have nearly double his closest opponent. How then can anyone make the argument it should not be Trump?
Of course not. That’s why every coach doesn’t worry about winning the game, just tying it up so he can go in to overtime.
