Donald J. Trump Foreign Policy Speech
Thank you for the opportunity to speak to you, and thank you to the Center for the National Interest for honoring me with this invitation.
I would like to talk today about how to develop a new foreign policy direction for our country – one that replaces randomness with purpose, ideology with strategy, and chaos with peace.
It is time to shake the rust off of America’s foreign policy. It's time to invite new voices and new visions into the fold.
The direction I will outline today will also return us to a timeless principle. My foreign policy will always put the interests of the American people, and American security, above all else. That will be the foundation of every decision that I will make.
America First will be the major and overriding theme of my administration.
But to chart our path forward, we must first briefly look back.

I have been so sad for our country. We have been in self destruction for at least 16 years. This speech was a serious change in direction. It can be summarized by “ making AMERICA great again’. — No more foreign nation rebuilding. No more decline of our sovereignty. No more open borders flooded by only God knows who. This is the most Presidential vision I have heard since Reagan.
It was a good speech. Congratulations to whoever wrote it.

Bet that had the Neocons and Globalists both flopping around on the floor like fish out of water even if the earlier bit about the current crop in the foreign policy establishment being inept no matter how good their credentials may seem didn't.
And then this :
"The nation-state remains the true foundation for happiness and harmony. I am skeptical of international unions that tie us up and bring America down, and will never enter America into any agreement that reduces our ability to control our own affairs."
Wonder if there were any EMS trucks rushed out to restart a few hearts at Foggy Bottom?

CNN had some fool on trying to put a negative spin on it within seconds after; I hope the spinning from the left trying to pick it apart doesn’t stick because that speech was so incredibly great. I turned it off instantly (CNN). I hate the MSM so much for their endless propaganda.

I have not supported Trump in the primary. He has not projected a serious image and I fear he would lose badly in the general election. His whining about Cruz and Kasich is petty and unbecoming.
That being said, this is a remarkable speech. I did not watch the speech but this is compelling material. If he can show a similar command of other issues such as the economy, our educational system, and the criminal justice system, he could a very formidable candidate in the general election.
