I’ve been posting this analogy for a while. This is a portion of a comment I posted last night:
My favorite analogy between Cruz and Trump has been the purebred greyhound vs a junk yard dog. The ideal is to have a purebred greyhound, but I’ve fallen into the camp that sees our perimeter is threatened. The beautiful prize-winning greyhound will bark and make a show, and even do his best in a fight, while the ugly battle scarred junk yard dog will flat get it done. At least that is the sincere hope. Sometimes the need of the hour defines what instrument and, no other, is needed.
He certainly has been that for me... with a few notable exceptions.
Sorry, but I don’t think Rush is ever going to be the Rush you grew to love again. He’ll jump on the Trump train at the last possible minute like the Quisling he’s become and even then he will be a naysayer of sorts. It’s become an ugly thing. Something deeper than the circumstances of an election.

I’m sorry, I didn’t note who the author was, just that according to Rush he was making a lot of very good, albeit esoteric, arguments on whatever the topic was.
