Bill Kristol Names Romney, Rubio, Tom Cotton As Third-Party Prospects If Trump Wins Nomination
Brietbart ^ | 25 Apr 2016 | Patrick Howley

Bill Kristol, son of Irving, names Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% , Mitt Romney, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) 79% , and others on his hypothetical shortlist of third-party candidates that he could run if Donald Trump becomes the Republican nominee.

The “Weekly Standard” editor and self-styled neoconservative power broker is back to talking about a third party, declaring that a Trump victory in Indiana would force him to re-focus on his so-called “Latter-Day Republicans” independent ticket. A third party could help to split the vote on the Right and elect Hillary Clinton president, which would allow Kristol to stave off the Trump threat and regain control of the party in 2020 without actually having to formally support Clinton.

But Kristol now has a shortlist of predictable options, including Mitt Romney and neoconservative rising star Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas.

Junior Nebraska Republican senator Ben Sasse has been talking for a while now about helping to organize a third-party campaign if Trump wins the nomination on the strength of the people’s will..................These people are seriously in afraid of Trump!

Bring it on dog breath. Maybe you can get your candidate on two or three states.

One of the things that finally sold me on Trump was the fact that he’s feared and hated by all the right people. Anybody who gives Bill Kristol conniption fits must be doing something right.

Trump can Trump them if he gets Bernie on the ticket. LOL!!! Want to play games? Politics breeds strange bed fellows.

Kristol’s “list” of any sort is my “sh!t list”.

The man is a snake. He only tries to protect that bed he’s given up so much for in feathering. He knows as much about drive by America as I know what bathroom stall etiquette is among the ‘gays’.

In the case of Bill Kristol, make no mistake. He is now campaigning for a Clinton victory.

Kristol is such a phony and an ass. He can take his neocon Weekly Standard and stick it up BO’s backside. Make him happy.

In other words, both the Dems and GOP political parties are in civil war mode, which means we could see third party runs on both sides.

Why would Cotton run 3rd Party? That would ruin his future political career. He is still a first-term Senator.

Kristol is grasping at straws.

Why would Rubio run 3rd Party? His MASSIVE loss in Floria revealed how completely his political career is over.

Kristol is grasping at straws.

Why would Romney run as a 3rd Party? He has sent several trial balloons for 2016 and all crashed like lead balloons.

Kristol is grasping at straws.

Kristol would have more luck getting the straw Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz to run.

It is a little late for that, I don’t think they would get on the ballot in very many states if any.

Well, it can no longer be denied that Kristol is working to get Hillary elected.

He should just be booted from the GOP once and for all.

Total Loser.

Haven't Kristol and most of the other op-ed writers at the Weekly Standard and NRO more or less come out and said that they would rather have Hillary Clinton than Donald Trump as President?

These are the same hypocrites who demanded that Trump sign a "loyalty oath" pledging to support the eventual GOP nominee if it is someone other than him, and who whine about how conservatives, libertarians, and populists won't vote for their nominees of choice.

Conservatives should be clear that if RINOs and the GOP-e do *anything* to cause a third party, that is the end for their being Republicans. They should consider themselves expelled from the party, and cut off from the conference and any funding at all.

Cotton is up and coming...Kristol is just being ridiculous.
Romney would be patted on the back by Hillary and Rubio..I don’t think he is THAT stupid.

If the neoconservatives leave the GOP (for good) and start their own party in response to Trump, that will be the best thing that has ever happened to the GOP.

The only question is, why bother with a third party when the Clintons would welcome their support with open arms? I guess keeping up the charade of "elections" and "choice" is still a priority for Uniparty.
