I had a friend whose father went off the deep end like this. Absolutely shattering to have the man you admired all your life forget all about the years of marriage and domestic happiness he had with his deceased wife, and watch him go for cheesy sex.
In my friend’s case, the dad was a retired farmer who married a 19 or 20 year old woman (he was in his 80s). She was borderline retarded, so she really didn’t notice that this was a weird, yucky, relationship. Her family thought she was going to be taken care of, and would inherit the farm, so what did they care?

It’s perfectly natural for men of any age to desire sexy young women. This has nothing to do with whether they love(d) their wife, it’s hard wired into us.
