Nearly 20 years after the death of his wife, former U.S. Sen. Harris Wofford, D-Pennsylvania, penned a moving New York Times editorial Sunday, announcing his intention to marry a man 50 years his junior.

He told of the "romance and adventure" the two shared over 48 years of marriage and wrote glowingly of the support his wife provided him during his time as Pennsylvania senator. Five years after her death, Wofford met Charlton, then 25 years old, while swimming on a beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Reading between the lines, he was probably on the downlow, and fed his wife a load of "romance" bull to keep her bearding for him, and just "happened" to be swimming alone at Fort Lauderdale in his 70s? Alone enough to just "happen" to meet a 25-year-old and have it turn into "love"? Give me a break. This guy has probably been cruising for hook-ups all his post-pubescent life.
