Donald Trump Jr: Ted Cruz Has To Bribe Delegates To Win
CNN ^ | APRIL 24

Posted on 04/24/2016 8:38:39 AM PDT by Helicondelta

Donald Trump Jr. said that the only way Texas Sen. Ted Cruz can convince delegates to support him over his father is with bribery.

"Ted Cruz has no chance of winning this without bribing the delegates. That's his game at this point," the son of the real estate mogul told CNN's Jake Tapper in a CNN "State of the Union" interview that aired Sunday.

Trump Jr. said if his father wanted to bribe delegates he could -- and do it very well.

"He could send his private plane and send them down to Doral, they could play golf for a week and then we win that delegate. That's not the way this country should be run," Trump Jr. said.

“Six month ago, Hannity was considered a brainless featherwright by the vast majority around here. A bad joke. There’s too many 180’s to keep up with.”

It is Rush who I thought highly of 6 months ago. Now, I cannot believe how far he has fallen.

True that. The problem is Trump morons, which is a subset of Trump supporters, post videos of Cruz allegedly bribing a delegate in plain sight with a 100 dollar bill. Of course it is not a bribe at all but that doesn’t slow those morons down a bit.

The millions Trump has spent to influence pols? No big deal, they all do it.

“Trump had won 36% of the votes and 45% of the delegates when he began the whining. Should he walk the talk and renounce those extra delegates?”{

What state was that? I bet it was one where all the people got to vote.

What exactly is it that you think Cruz would do to stop the LGBT nonsense?

Please be specific.

Trump said it was a state’s rights issue.

Do you disagree with that?

“That was when Ted convinced everyone he was a true conservative. Don’t think that line is going to play too well in Texas right now.”

Ted is now coming across like an “Elmer Gantry”. That is turning off a lot of people. You can see it in the polls.

There is nothing in the video proving that the money was going to a delegate. Cruz’s campaign said the person who received the money was not a delegate, but a Cruz campaign staffer. See http://dailycaller.com/2016/04/22/cruz-campaign-refutes-video-claiming-he-passed-money-to-delegate-video/

If there weren't delegates, the front runner would only have 38% of the vote right now. Then what?

Then he’d have more than Ted, just like he has more delegates.

Obviously, but then what? A run off election, that the states certainly wouldn't want to pay for? Give the nomination to the person with a plurality of the vote?

What would you have your party do?

There is NOT one thing on your video that shows a Bruce Redden face... Only the Cruz campaign claims, after the fact. Furthermore, there is NOTHING showing WHO gave Cruz the so called $5.00... I sure cannot tell it is a $5.00 bill.

Ask them.

I’m sure that the FBI is interested in prosecuting any elected official shown to be on the take, aren’t you?

‘Cruz likely has more allies who’ve been involved in the party for longer, and that gives him an advantage.’

Right, because Cruz is famous for making allies. Like the time in the Senate when he made a motion, and couldn’t get a single colkeague to second it.

So Trump wins delegates via the people’s vote, and they switch their loyalty to Cruz because they’ve been involved in the party longer? That doesn’t even make sense on its face. If huge swaths of Trump delegates only pretended to support him so as to stab him in the back, why is Cruz involved at all? Why are Cruz’ supporters bragging that Cruz plays the delegate/ground game so much better than Trump? If your theory were true, Cruz wouldn’t have to do anything, and Trump *couldn’t* do anything; the nomination would simply be a fait accompli from the outset.

I don't think big businesses set up that protection racket; it was all the doing of politicians. The fact that it happens does not make it right. However, I cannot blame Trump for paying the protection money, any more than I would blame the owner of a small business for paying off organized crime to leave his business alone.

In a perfect world, businesses would be treated fairly and impartially, regardless of how much they funnel into any candidate's campaign coffers, and regardless of their size. A politician should not be offering tax breaks to a company for locating a factory in his state--but it happens all the time. Yes, there is plenty of corruption at the top. It is unfair to blame a businessman or CEO for learning how to survive in that system.

Especially when the rules include loopholes, like tax loopholes, eh? Works until the loopholes are closed.

However, do republicans really want temp dems voting in their candidate? One freeper today posted he is worried about the dems who switched for the primaries will vote for hildabeast. Do you think that’s a possiblity? I don’t think the Reagan dems will.

If that is what he is doing, it SURE DOESN’T look good, and it sounds like a typical load of Ted Cruz Bovine Scatology.

Yes I listened to that Hannity exchange this morning and all Cruz wants to do is repeat his lie of winning landslide elections in the last 5 primaries. He’s in desperation mode at this point.
