Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton hold double-digit leads in the April 26 primary contest of Pennsylvania, according to results from a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll.

In the Republican race, Trump gets support from 45 percent of likely Republican primary voters in the state — followed by Ted Cruz at 27 percent and John Kasich at 24 percent.

Trump performs the best among those who strongly support a candidate (getting support from 57 percent from that group), men (52 percent), those without a college degree (52 percent) and those in the Northeast part of the state (52 percent).

He performs the worst among college graduates (37 percent), women (39 percent), white evangelicals (40 percent — but still leading Cruz's 36 percent) and in the Philadelphia suburbs (38 percent — leading Kasich's 34 percent).

Trump up 18 in PA. Still looking for a CT poll this morning. Nothing yet. I would imagine Emerson will have one out tonight and Quinnipiac tomorrow morning.

Excellent news. I’m looking forward to Cruz being crushed and dropping out so that his army of paid shills goes away.

Nice little Sundance quote from last night.

The #NeverTrump crowd, is of no value moving forward. They can be cast aside as noisy gnats and will, as always, gnash their horrible teeth, stomp their feet and take their ball home. Good riddance to a useless bunch as they walk the plank.

Cruz has entered Black Knight territory. He’ll probably stay in until the end in the false hope that the GOPe would turn to him in a contested convention.

It’s not surprising. The sort of Republicans who live in Pennsylvania are apt to prefer someone like Trump.

Typical Cruz supporter. Your guy can’t win anywhere so mock people in states where other’s do well. Cruz would have trouble breaking 150 EV’s in a General election.

Cruz can’t win a solid GOP state like IN.

So there.

Really makes no difference how far Trump’s up. Primaries and caucuses mean nothing if another candidate can go into the state AFTER the election and steal all the votes. Cruz is doing it all over country. Maine was the latest, where the SOB won 12 to Trump’s 9 delegates during the caucus, then signed a pledge he would not try to steal anymore, then sent his henchmen yesterday to bride Trump’s delegates. Cruz walked out the door with 19 of the delegates in a race that was already over. Trump won 9 on election night, now sleazy Cruz has stolen 8 of them. He’ll do the same thing in Indiana on May 3. Two weeks ago the GOPe awarded 57 of the 58 delegates to Cruz...........and they ain’t even had the election yet! Cruz should skip Indiana. The fix has been in for the last two weeks.

Too bad Pennsylvania voters will be voting for delegates this election, and most won’t have a clue for whom they represent. Is this rigged or what.

I'm in CT and can say with confidence that Trump will win big here - probably by NY and MA margins. Many of us are just a big suburb of NY or Boston anyhow!

Not sure about RI, that is a weird state. But I expect Trump to win that also.

I see the poll is still talking about Evangelicals. I never hear that term except in reference to presidential elections. Can anybody explain to me the difference between an Evangelical and a Christian? I can't get a good definition on the Internet. I don't believe I've ever met an Evangelical before and was wondering what all that was about. Are they similar to Jehovah's Witnesses?
