The Political Education Of Rafael Cruz
Buzzfeed.com ^ | Mar 30,2015 | Andrew Kaczynski & Ilan Ben-Meir

In these speeches, Cruz sometimes admits — with disbelief — that he once supported Fidel Castro’s revolution. “I started speaking at different rotary clubs around Austin, Texas — in favor of Castro! I still thought he was the savior of the country,” he told FreedomWorks, a conservative group, in 2013.

Local news articles and documents from the late 1950s offer a clearer picture of the days of Cruz as a young man, then a believer in the revolution and a visible college activist.

On Jan. 8, 1959, Fidel Castro rode victoriously into Havana. The country’s dictator, Batista, had fled a week earlier. The next day, Rafael Cruz spoke to the Daily Texan, the student newspaper at UT-Austin.

“The July 26 movement was started not by the lower classes but the cultured people of Cuba. People like lawyers, businessmen, men of education. And you know the Communists like to prey on the downtrodden,” said Cruz, conversing freely in his native Spanish.

The July 26 movement is the name of the movement led by Castro that overthrow Batista. The name comes from an attack on the Santiago de Cuba army barracks on July 26, 1953.

I can’t believe they have gotten away with so many lies. It’s hard to figure out what the truth is.

Durango says: Pay no attention to The Daily Beast. It is the political equivalent of National Enquirer.

Let’s not forget, Cruz’s mother lived in London for 5 years then Canada, and sought foreign citizenship in Canada. Not exactly a pro-American family.

If your candidate is nominated and defeated in November, remember you posted this and alienated potential voters.

Not vetted on cocaine use? Nor on bestiality or "I Was a Teenaged Bank Robber" or rapes, how about rapes? Have you heard the rumor that he personally ran a daycare so he could be sexually likea kid in a candy shop? All this and more is coming to a National Enquirer issue near you. Get ready to spread the dirt! FEEEEL the dirt AND the fantasies!

Simple. The salacious imagination is strong among them.

That dog sentence means that they are corrosive urban gossips posing as good ole boys.

It is quite noticeable that you have truly biblical levels of difficulty figuring out the truth but, take heart, with enough future years of diligent practice, you may be able to improve.

True. The old man was working for the fair treatment of Cuba in 1963. The damn Cuban missile crisis was in 1962 as I recall my old man being called into work every night he finally got off for a week or so. he worked a continental army command in 60-63 at Ft Monroe, VA and again after Vietnam from Jan 64-Jan 67.I recall the months as I started Infantry OCS just before he left. Ted’s old man was supposedly with Lee Harvey Oswald in New Orleans. Their is a photo that they say is Cruz.

I go back and forth on how important a pop’s history is.

With that thought in mind, if you haven't already, read Edward "Butch" O'Hare's story and about his father.

If you are looking for a dog of hunting pedigree, it’s often difficult to predict by just examining a cute lil puppy. You will pay triple the price for a pup that will grow into a fine hunting dog due to its lineage.

Under closer examination you may discover the puppy is actually sickly, hobbled, and didn’t respond properly to sounds or smells. The pup is only good as a house dog. You would tell the seller that your not interested in his puppy because “that dog won’t hunt.”

Translation: “I’m not buying what you’re selling, it’s of no use.”

Not true. Cruz was hatched not born long, lomg ago, and far, far away. There were two moons in his sky and he was the evil offspring of Darth Vader and a female demon. When confronted with these "facts," Cruz REFUSED to deny them so they MUST be true!

Can we get back to actual issues now before Western Civilization vanishes altogether? Abortion, SCOTUS, guns, marriage, military, crushing ISIS, jobs, some piece of the action for ordinary Americans, ending Common Core, putting the fedgov on a severe diet? You know, ISSUES!

Rudy did not have his father part of the show either. Cruz is bad news.

So you think someone with an anti-American and a foreign background is going to solve issues??

Maybe you should think about just what tool you are trying to use first. That’s been our problem, we keep trying to use a screwdriver to drive a nail.

...he was the evil offspring of Darth Vader and a female demon.

Close. He was the offspring of Booger Dawson and Kathy Bates.

Rudy’s pop was a gangster and he ended up being the best thing to happen to law enforcement in NYC in 30 years.

And Rudy's pop told the lad that his son was among the "chosen" to be anointed as "kings" to take control of all sectors of society, an agenda commonly referred to as the "Seven Mountains" mandate, and "bring the spoils of war to the priests", thus helping to bring about a prophesied "great transfer of wealth", from the "wicked" to righteous gentile believers.

Oh wait, wrong pop...

Do we know when pop cruz had his big religious conversion?

***********

Some articles I’ve read is that it occurred during the time he had left the family in Canada
and came back to the Houston area, 1975 timeframe. He attended a relgious service and got
saved and gave up his Catholic affiliation. He returned to Canada and brought his family back
to Texas. How accurate I have no idea.
