Donald Trump Renews Attacks on Ted Cruz’s Presidential Eligibility

Republican front-runner Donald Trump on Saturday resumed his questioning of rival Ted Cruz’s presidential eligibility, citing Cruz’s Canadian birth.

“The first thing the Democrats are going to do is sue him on the basis that he’s not a naturalized citizen, he wasn’t born in the country,” Trump said at a rally in Connecticut, which holds its primaries on Tuesday, Politico reported.

Even though Trump is right, he needs to stop this line of attack

Why? Cruz has his locust out scrounging (paying big bucks) to get delegates to jump ship and if he manages to do what he intends to do we have given the WH to Hillary.

No, I don’t do posts, some how I mess them up, and they get pulled, so I just post them, hoping someone will make a thread out of it...

I have so much info on the Cruz’s and some old history on slimy Clinton, Trump is going to have her peeing her depends and there will be only one debate with her, she won’t live long enough to debate him again...she thinks he’s going to be ‘nice’ to her...ROFL...right, that man treats people the way they treat him...

Ted Cruz is a self destructive person who cannot seem to admit when he’s wrong or accept defeat and move on. He is well on his way to becoming the most reviled politician in America. After Cruz takes a terrible drubbing on Tues in 5 primaries the calls for him to get out will start up in earnest. If he refuses he will be forced out. There is no way he is going to be allowed to show up in Cleveland and burn down the house like he does in the Senate.

The internal polls must be different than the ones we’re seeing.

Isn't that what you were saying right before New York?

Huh? I merely pointed out that Cruz's family has been in the U.S. much longer than Trump's. You seemed flummoxed at the very thought and asked me to explain. I did. Trump's paternal grandparents were both German; his mother was Scottish. Cruz's father was Cuban; his mother's family is mostly Irish with some Italian, and goes back in the U.S. at least four generations.

I then suggested that Cruz should have a little fun with that observation. If your reaction is any indication of the lack of perspective and humor in TrumpWorld, Donald's head would explode. Trump's American roots are quite shallow, and that's even if we count NYC as part of America, which I sometimes think is no longer the case.

Lighten up.

There is quite a blizzard of clever graphics floating all around the internet; clearly the Trump team, and/or Roger Stone, is feeding social media with it, some pro-Trump and some anti-the other candidates. Turnabout is fair play. I think someone should put Donald in lederhosen playing an accordion in a polka band. If you stop to think about it, he does look the part. Perhaps he missed his true calling in life, which may be why he is so ill-tempered.

(except Ted’s father traveled freely circa 1960, in very tumultuous times, between
Texas and Cuba, raising money in Texas to take back to Castro. it’s a mess.)

Can you provide some links that discuss this aspect of Rafael’s past? I’ve read
some of his history but never saw that. Also the net has been scrubbed of some of
the articles I’ve read in the past.

Thanks for any links you can provide.

Au contraire. "Natural born citizen" means "citizen from birth," under the laws that obtain at the time. That's all you need to know. Stop losing sleep over a non-issue.

As to my comments about the fact that Cruz's family has been in the U.S. much longer than Trump's, I still think Cruz could have some fun rattling Donald's cage with it. If your reaction, and that of a couple of other Trump supporters, are any indication, it would be worth the experiment. I thought Obama was exceptionally thin-skinned. Trump seems to be even worse.

Your humor is flat. That Trump was born in America of 2 American citizens is important to me. That said I have enjoyed all the graphics about all candidates. Some people are very clever with computers but I would not find humor in a Cuban Canadian trying to say he is more American. Just doesn’t go with the facts.

At my age the results of this election won’t affect me too many years but I have children and grandchildren that it will deeply effect for years so I don’t laugh at lies or any globalist or NAU supporter being president.

In a contest between a conservative Texan and a liberal New Yorker as to who is “more American,” I will choose the former.

I'm thinking that Donald Trump is nervous himself about choosing Ted Cruz as VP, believe it or not. I think he'd like to have the Cruz/NBC issue totally off the table for Hillary.

After all, there are many on this forum who have been raising this issue long before Cruz came around as a Presidential candidate.

I'm not saying that Cruz isn't an NBC, what I'm saying is, absent something FEDERALLY definitive, I wouldn't ne surprised to see the Democrat party, during the general election cycle, try to use the issue to whatever advantage it can.

Vote Trump

You are free to that opinion. I will never find a liar, TPA, Coker, NAU conservative values. So we will have to agree to disagree.

SCOTUS could rule on the subject and it wouldn't be good enough.

The NBC thing for me is off the table since the country capitulated on Øbozo.

Fact of the matter is that Cruz shot himself in the foot when he started allowing all the dominionist talk about himself from his own father (to say nothing about the Branch Glennbeckians and their prophecies). He shot himself in the other foot with his reaction to the riots around Trump's Chicago appearance. He is terminally damaged.

No reason to ever vote GOP again. Clearly not a party that provides representative for govt.

How did Ted get to the Ivy Leagues? Scholarships by the truck load, I presume? Parents divorce, but no marriage papers? Geez, maybe it’s late. I will sleep on this.

I'd like to know how an illegal immigrant with a few bills in his underwear got into University of Texas in Austin. Think about it... If you look at his history at that point, the school had NOTHING to go on in terms of background information on the guy. What? Did he write on his application, "Hey, I've been fighting for Castro and arrested a few times, but I'm pro-USA now. Oh, and I can't speak English and I'm illegal and I have no money. Got scholarships?!"

“Washington refused to become king after his two terms.”

The discussion was about wanting to be president, not king. Being humble and wanting to be president are not contradictory.

Same questions I have, Miss Nita. Very curious about Raphael, and also Ted. Is it bizarre to think Raphael went CIA, and somehow Ted’s financing for university was a part of a deal? Maybe, Ted made it on academic honors to all three schools. Perhaps it will all come out some day....

No, it’s not bizarre. Out of the box? Yes. But NOT bizarre. All the pieces don’t add up.

Yes, but you refuted the evidence from the American History Museum.

Washington’s reluctance to be President is evidenced not only there but in his refusal to extend himself beyond two terms.

I do not know how else to describe our greatest President any better with you, as actions as so much more important than mere words like Sherman’s.

The actual meaning of NBC was hashed out on FR years ago. Were you around? Did you read those long research threds? A NBC means born of parentS (ie TWO OF THEM) who are US citizens, born on soil under US jurisdiction (ie NOT a foreign country).

And since Cruz has refused to make public any ciitzenship related documents for himself OR HIS MOTHER other than their birth certificates, it is unknown whether his mother was a US citizen at the time of his birth or not.

Your little “narrative” - did you make it up all by your little self or did someone else?

Only devout Cruz cultists will drink that Fool-Aid.
