How long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? (Vanity)
4/23/2016 | Myself

The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is egregious. It seems it was created to cripple the economy of the next incoming president by hamstringing American taxpayers. The ObamaCare tax penalty for 2016 is either the average cost of a bronze plan for however many months you didn't have coverage or 2.5% of your income, whichever is greater. I used an online ObamaCare tax penalty calculator. So if you are a married couple making $50,000 per year and you couldn't afford the marketplace premiums for the whole year, you would pay $2,085. That's a pretty big payment just for insurance and it is money that won't go back into the economy. This amount is assuming the price of these plans stays at their present levels which we all know they won't.

So my question is how long will it take Trump to repeal ObamaCare? Can he not suspend the ObamaCare tax without Congressional approval?

There are even plenty of single college students who would appreciate not having to pay this tax as well as young people not in in college. Yet, Trump just says he's going to replace it with something wonderful and gives no timetable. I think it's time to flesh out a plan before running against the Hildebeast.

Here is a newsflash for you - The President can’t repeal legislation. Congress does that.

Yes, I rhink you’ve convinced me. The timetable is probably somewhere between many decades and forever. Americans really are literal tax slaves to the U.S. government.

>Is it too soon to predict a Republican Congress would fight him to keep it?

Sadly no. Trump may have to stop the enforcement of rather than fight congress over it. Since it’s an unconstitutional law he a pretty basis for ignoring the law.

He could appoint SCOTUS members that will declare it unconstitutional over the objection of the odious Roberts.

He could go before the American people on a regular basis and ridicule the legislators refusing to repeal it.

He could promise to do all in his power to see that legislators standing in the way of repeal are removed from office at the next election.

He’s a smart guy who usually has a plan....

I believe the president has some control over taxes. Regardless, I wouldn’t ask tje question if I was a hundred percent certain, silly.

The president, however, can enforce all laws that are currently on the books.

And man, oh man, are there some laws on the books that could make the powers that be sweat and squirm to the point that they would do ANYTHING to make the pain stop.

The progressives built this system to defraud all of us. Before we can return to the constitution, someone has to tear it down, using it’s own power to do so. Hopefully, that person is Trump.

< Obamacare will have collapsed on it’s own by the time Trump gets into office!!! Exchanges are pulling out at a rapid pace!!! I think there are ONLY 2 carriers left!!! Once ALL of the sickies are dumped on those two it will game over folks!!! These insurance companies get everything they deserve these BASTARDS though the money was going to come flowing in, as soon as the government subsidies stopped BOOM, bankruptcy!!!!

I don't think it ever was designed to provide coverage. I think it was both a way to soak the middle class with extra taxes and setup a citizens information repository setup for the NWO globalists before they begin their mark of the beast phase. It just didn't work as planned because the economy is so horrendous and the premiums so high no one can afford it.

He could go before the American people on a regular basis and ridicule the legislators refusing to repeal it.

He could do all of that and still toss it out citing the Roe v. Wade ruling.
