Donald Trump is right about North Carolina bathroom law
HotAir.com ^ | 04/22/2016 | TAYLOR MILLARD

AP has already looked at some of the ins and outs of Trump’s comments on North Carolina’s bathroom law, but the fact is Donald Trump is right. This doesn’t mean I plan on replacing my #NeverTrump magnet with a “Make America Great Again” one or start delighting in the idea of a Trump presidency. But I’m okay with agreeing with him on this even if it may be a case of Trump the blind squirrel finding the nut.

-----------------------------

This debate over bathroom access seems like a ridiculous one for this election cycle, and something which could end up hurting more than helping. Trump is right on this issue. It will be more interesting to see if he decides to switch his position in the next few days (much like he did on abortion) to make sure the evangelicals who follow him stay with his flock. It just would be nice if the debate was about debt and spending cuts, not about bathroom access.

I worked in a place where a young, well built, extremely attractive woman decided she was a man and started using the men’s room...Everyone would rush to the restroom when she went in...Management included....

Yeah, I know HotAir, it’s just silly to be concerned about moral issues. We all know that “growing the economy” is the only that matters.

Let’s face it - Trump’s a schmuck who doesn’t even have enough moral sense to understand something basic like “men use the men’s room.”

[[I was thoroughly castigated by a couple of FReepers.]]

And that right htere is the problem- the fact that you feel this is an important issue, and having people castigate you for it, and ‘republicans’ no less- shows that we are losing our moral compass in this society-

The other guy takes money off a homosexual activist business man from TX and then preaches family for crying out loud.

Have you ever heard Cruz supporting any "homosexual" issues? No. So if the activist was giving to Cruz in hopes of influencing him on those issues, he wasted his money, didn't he? But as everyone points out, Trump can't be bought - so when he supports the LGBT agenda, or advocate a "soak the rich" leftist tax policy and class envy, it is because that is what he really believes in.

Nothing “uncivil” about claiming a question was a stupid question...

Reality has to step in somewhere...These people have been around for years...How many problems have arisen from a transvestite pissing in a women’s bathroom???

How many have even noticed...It’s just a fact..

I agree if a real man goes into the ladies room, he should have his ass kicked and arrested, but for the most part, you can’t tell most all tranny’s from a woman....

Don’t say I’m “promoting LGTB values” - that is strawman logical fallacy.

It doesn't matter what he "wants"... there is absolutely no evidence that he would get anything from Cruz on those issues - and Cruz actually has a record, as opposed to Trump.. But it appears that trump is prepared to give the LGBT crowd a lot of support, and they don't even have to give him money to get him to do it - he actually seems to believe in it. So why are you so offended at Cruz, who has never supported the LGBT agenda, but not offended at Trump, who does?

Yes knowingly- Once you alloow men ot use hte same bathroom as your wives and daughters- they WILL exploit it without fear of beign arrested- plain and simple- before=- they risked beign arrested- now under the new laws, they won’t be at risk-

[[You DO know these people exist, right???]]

It’s not an issue about whether they exist or not- it’s an issue about whether they are protected by law should they desire to expose themselves to young girls and people’s wives-

The fact that this is even a debate at this point shows how morally corrupt this nation is becoming

"We’re being told by trump supporters “It’s no big deal’ ‘Just ignore it,. there’s more important issues to worry about” etc etc etc- in other words- just stand by and do nothing and pretend the evil isn’t infiltrating our society!"

One of my hopes is that the Principled Conservative, Ted Cruz stands tall on this and makes it a very big issue in the campaign.

Especially as the primaries enter the Eastern States, (l)ibertarian Mountain West and West Coast.

Who wants to bet he mutters very little on the subject as we move forward?

Has he even said anything since Trump said Jenner could use any bathroom it chooses?

When I mentioned my concern about young girls I was told it was up to me to see that my kids were safe in public restrooms.

Where on earth is the logic in that?

Kids do eventually go out on their own———at least that’s the way I was raised and the way that I raised mine.

Indeed. The language of making gays and not children the potential victims of this becomes the same progressist antisedition language of forbiding questioning the government debt. The protection of gays through hate crime legislation is one way to suppress the free for the government without actually being overtly totalitarian since they are protecting the gays, a virtual entity. The debt is directly linked to police legal programs to support implementation of such hate crime legislation aka antisedition laws by proxy

Here is the problem on this forum. Nobody is willing to hold their candidate’s feet to the fire. They make excuses when they stray from the reservation and they hold their opponents to a standard they would never hold for their own candidate.

I’m resigned to the fact that Trump is going to win the nomination. He knows he has it in the bag and he has now begun his hard turn to the left in order to appeal to the basest elements of our corrupt and wayward society.

I frankly don’t believe that in this current culture a Moral Christian Conservative could be elected president. The entire culture has gone down the toilet on issues of Abortion, Homo Marriage, bathroom choice.... whatever.

But it is not the candidates problem that they have to lie to us to get the nomination. It is our problem. Conservatives are no longer an effective voice in politics. We do not hold our candidates to any moral standard, instead we make excuses for them. We do not come to the rescue of people who are punished for holding religious values to heart and instead we just look the other way and say, “we have bigger fish to fry” than a couple of bakers or photographers or perverts who want to use the other sex’s bathrooms and lockers.

Again we cannot make America Great Again if we abandon the values that made us great in the first place. But as a Nation we have not only abandoned the values that we held which made us great, but we have rejected them completely and turned those values into hate crimes and embraced the very culture that will bring us down.

What are you doing then?

Sure sounds like you're supporting your candidate's view that men should be able to use public female restrooms.

Do you support Donald Trump position on that?

How many times has this happened????

If only it were that simple.

Human nature being what it is, and the left being unable to curb theirs...it's really a question of when it will start happening, and how often, and how long will it take before the PTB figure out they screwed the pooch on this one?

Yeah, I guess as a dad you are supposed to follow your 9 year old daughter into the women's bathroom to make sure there are a bunch of perverted men in there.

The logic of some of these idol worshipers is just amazing.
