#NeverTrump Collapsing: Delegates Bound to Marco Rubio, John Kasich Begin Warming to The Donald
Brietbart ^ | 04/20/2016 | Jen Lawrence

Posted on 04/20/2016 9:02:27 PM PDT by MaxistheBest

Republican National Convention delegates from the District of Columbia who are bound to or supportive of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) tell Breitbart News that they are open to supporting Donald Trump instead.

Some are making the pitch that they want Trump to pick Rubio as his vice presidential candidate, but nonetheless the warm comments many of these Rubio delegates are making about Trump—instead of about Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) —is perhaps a sign of a turning tide in the delegate game after Trump captured at least 89 delegates in New York last night.

That would be the very best VP pick.

The fact that Rubio is lazy means he’s well qualified to be VP _ the VP doesn’t do much. Remember Joe Biden saying it was the easiest job he ever had, because he doesn’t do much? LOL.

I respectfully disagree with you about Rubio. I hate the fact that he is an amnesty guy, but, he is young and teachable - unlike Cruz, who thinks he knows more than ever God. Rubio is more likeable than Cruz and was man enough to apologize for trying to play Don Rickles with Trump. That showed me he has some redeemable qualities. I also think if chosen, he would tow the line of Trump’s agenda. GHW Bush did with Reagan for 8 years. So, Rubio might work - I dunno - the short list is going to be mighty short.

Taking Sessions out of the senate robs trump of a valuable ally in the legislature . He needs to head a powerful senate committee and help, move trumps agenda

We’re already down a conservative senator with the implosion ( self inflicted) of ted cruz

Jeff Sessions is a great guy, but, we can’t have two 69 year olds running - it just won’t work.

When he wasn’t busy stupidly sitting on a couch next to Nancy Pelosi, simpering about how he thinks her Global Warming legislation is the best thing since sliced bread, sure! -rolleyes-

We all said that about Cheney too.

Look, it aint gonna be Sessions, Nor Cruz, Nor Boobio. All those need to stay were they are. I isnt gonna be Palin.

I hope it isnt Kasick. Maybe Gingrich, but he is to old. So, who does that leave? Crispy Cream? I dont think so.

Gilmore? Walker? Some other Govenor?
Gimme a guess.

Yeah, but Trump is 70 I don’t want Mario, Gang of Eight, Rubio next in line

If Trump were 59 I could see Rubio.

I have wondered if it might not be worth while to reach out to a group like the Libertarians or Constitution party. Adding a Darrel Castle or Gary Johnson might be a good way to broaden the base and stick a final thumb in the eye of the GrOP-E

It will be Kasich. Ohio EV's simply cannot be ignored.

We don't care much for him here, but his approval rating in Ohio is excellent, and he won his last election in a rout.

He also has the legislative experience Trump has said he wants.

Trump is the exact same age Reagan was when he was first elected, so that isn’t an issue. Rubio has name recognition - no one knows who those guys are you suggested. Rubio will bend whichever way Trump wants him to - he’s a stick-his-finger-in-the-wind-kind of guy. Other than that stupid gang of 8 thing - Rubio is much more likeable than Cruz and conservative on most issues.

Trust me - Trump is in good health and shows no signs of slowing down - Reagan did just fine at the same age.

“This is Donald Trump. I know you’re a Rubio delegate, but I’d like to talk to you about your concerns. Why don’t I have a jet pick you up and fly you down to Mar Lago so we can talk about it. Bring your clubs, we’ll talk on the course.”

Trump has also said he wants a VP who is very familiar with the inner workings of DC to help him get his agenda passed.
