Horrified Mika: 'I Don't Think Women Are Going to Flock to Ted Cruz'
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 04/20/2016 8:55:28 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

Morning Joe regulars know that Mika Brzezinski has made a virtual art form out of her facial expressions and body language. On today's show, Mika put on a particularly demonstrative display of horror while asserting what she sees as Ted Cruz's lack of appeal to women voters.

The question on the table had been Donald Trump's surprisingly strong showing among women in yesterday's New York Republican primary. The Donald scored 59% of women voters, almost equaling the 63% of men voters he garnered. Gene Robinson was stumped to explain it. When he posited Ted Cruz as the alternative to Trump, someone to whom voters would be expected to "flock," Mika broke in: "I don't think women are going to flock to Ted Cruz." Mika accompanied her comment with animated expressions, looking to the sky, taking a deep breath then sharing a horrified look with someone offstage to her right. You can catch Mika's contortions 40 seconds into the video clip. See also screencap below.

Yeah, Cruz gives me the creeps. Could be a stand-in for the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Mika...you are 100% correct. Women will avoid Ted Cruz by the millions. He is not only an unattractive man, lookswise, which is not his fault....but, when he opens his mouth and rants...he becomes super ugly from the inside. I know many women & men that are not attractive in appearence, but, are charming from their inner self...and, folks completely forget their appearances shortfull and love them dearly. Cruz, sad to say, is not banging on all eight cylinders.

But, this is not the case with this hateful, evil human being Ted Cruz, his father and the nutcase suppoeter of his Glenn Beck. The Republican establishment must have really been uptight and in full panic mode, when they chose to back this hateful loser, Ted Cruz. For goodness sake, Hillary Clinton will wipe him out politically with one hand tied behind her back and one eye blindfolded. Mika, Girl You is right on the money!!! Satam, himself, Ted Cruz....be gone....your fifteen minutes of fame are over!!!

I enjoy watching this show in the morning, about the first 30 minutes or so to get the latest political news.

Mika is a Hoot and she has those looks and expressions that just are hilarious. She actually likes Trump to a degree and I have heard her defend him.

I would fly to New York to have a cup of coffee with her.

“...they’ll vote for the alpha male.. Cruz .. he’s yucky...”

LOLOL!! Agreed. Hillary has that yuck factor too. EEEWWWW! Kasich seems fairly beta, although I could get used to him as VP if Trump makes a deal with him.

I NEVER believed the media propaganda attempt that Trump had a “women problem” factor to overcome. As a woman myself, I just couldn’t see that this was correct.

Well, she got one thing right.

Mika: "I don't think."

Mika and Joe are friends with Trump going back a few years. There is also another anchor on MSNBC, Tamron Hall, that is friends with Trump.

Last night I watched Chris Matthews give a long speech about how Trump is right about other countries having better infrastructure and Trump’s ideas about rebuilding America. It was so good, it could have been a Trump campaign ad.

59% of the ones who showed up yesterday isn’t 59% of women. It’s just 59% of the ones who showed up yesterday.

Problem is, New York women “flocked” to him yesterday. Methinks your theory is nonsense.
