John Kasich's campaign is urging "every Republican in the country" to rally around his candidacy, despite his overwhelming loss to Donald Trump in Tuesdays New York primary.
"The next 7 days are absolutely critical and every Republican in the country who wants an open convention and to win the White House should rally around Gov. Kasich in the upcoming April 26 states," said Kasich's chief strategist, John Weaver, in a memo issued on Tuesday night after Trump won New York by some 30 points.
The Ohio governor's campaign also blamed the "Never Trump," movement, castigating the conservative outside groups opposed to Trump for not dedicating enough resources to defeat the billionaire in New York.

I’m thinking ‘Baghdad Bob Kasich’. Wow.
In a fit of whimsy, I propose that Trump take in Bernie Sanders as VP. This will suck in all those anti-Hillary Millennials away from the Democrats and insure a stampede.
Reasoning? Bernie probably won't make it until the next election and won't be able to do much before his departure. What comes to mind is an old story about two brothers: one went to sea and one became vice president - and neither were ever heard of again.
WE VOTE YOU EFFING IDIOT... that's how we 'rally around' the candidate of our choice.
Go away Kasich... you're destroying the Republican party. Well, unless you're so vile you think 'the party' is a bunch of power hungry elites in some totalitarian hellhole... rather than all citizens of a free country.
“More likely there is a secret deal between Kasich and the talking gummy bears in his head”.
BEST COMMENT EVER!!! LOL OMGosh....I just spit iced tea everywhere! Thank you for the laugh:)
You mean the 85% of the Republicans in NY that are liberal won't support Cruz? Big surprise...
Bump!
LOL!
Sorry about that - happens a lot here on FR....
Kasich, you slut! Give it up.
Never in my long life have I voted for a candidate whose main appeal is voting against someone else, rather than the issues.
I wouldn't vote for you even if you were handing out $1000 bills and a free dinner at the Jules Verne in Paris...
What a delusional dummy!
Conservatives are looking for a new conservative home. You don't even remotely resemble that.
