John Kasich's campaign is urging "every Republican in the country" to rally around his candidacy, despite his overwhelming loss to Donald Trump in Tuesdays New York primary.
"The next 7 days are absolutely critical and every Republican in the country who wants an open convention and to win the White House should rally around Gov. Kasich in the upcoming April 26 states," said Kasich's chief strategist, John Weaver, in a memo issued on Tuesday night after Trump won New York by some 30 points.
The Ohio governor's campaign also blamed the "Never Trump," movement, castigating the conservative outside groups opposed to Trump for not dedicating enough resources to defeat the billionaire in New York.

Kasich is truly a sack-O-si*t.
This is the delegate count after the New York Primary.
Notice the burgundy text on the far right, on the Cruz line?
Tead has been numerically eliminated from getting 1237 delegates prior to the convention.
Trump has the only viable chance, and after the New England states he will have over 50% of the delegates to that point.
That is an amazing feat considering he was up against 16 other men in the race.
Trump is likely to get the 1237 delegates pre convention.
After next Tuesday he will need less percentage in the future delegate capture, than he has gotten to that point.
Quite an accomplishment...
Hmmm... I’m guessing there is no secret deal between Kasich and Trump as some have suspected...??
Kasick is truly delusional.
He reminds me more and more of Baghdad Bob with each passing day.
What a Schmuck!
John Kasich’s campaign is urging “every Republican in the country” to rally around his candidacy, despite his overwhelming loss to Donald Trump in Tuesdays New York primary///
Looks like they’re already doing that from observing NY.
Poor Ted can’t even get the anti Trump vote anymore. Just the 15% of the party that supports him.
More likely there is a secret deal between Kasich and the talking gummy bears in his head.
Kasich is going to overplay this and get kicked off the VP shortlist if he’s not careful.
Does Kasich really think his negative campaign is good fir the country? It’s only good for him.
A vote for Kasich or Cruz is a wasted spoiler vote.
I REALLY hope Kay-suck fails to catch up with Rubio in the delegate count.
Well he did win 200% more delegates than Cruz.
So I guess he has that going for him...
So, Kasich the LIBERAL Republican is asking all Republicans to gather his liberal ass, to thwart Trump?
He might as well act like the rest of the GOPe and demand that everyone vote for the KNOWN evil of Hillary, so as to protect us from the unknown, supposed evil of Trump?!?
FUJK! And FURNC!
I also believe Trump has a really good shot at 1237. Or very close to it. If Trump is only a few delegates short he should have no trouble making it up from the pool of unbound delegates.
Cruz isn’t going to have a V.P.; he doesn’t have the votes;
Trump won’t have someone like Kasich, who has Soros money, voted for NAFTA, is willing to let thousands of illegals into this country...
I think Kasich should finish as Gov. and retire and have a happy life on the ‘farm’...
A guy who barely beat Trump in a single NYC borough thinks he can beat Trump?
Kasich is more delusional than I thought. And in his home of OH, Trump held him under 50%.
Yeah, he’ll stop Trump alright when there’s no way he can win 117% of the delegates left.
Good luck with it.
This goes double for Kasich. Last night made it clear who the people want to be our nominee and Cruz is nowhere in the equation.
I bet they dump Rafael Nixon Cruz, soon.
