Sorry Donald, Cruz Spent Thousands, not Millions on Wyoming
Conservative Review ^ | 04/18/16 | Robert Eno

Posted on 04/18/2016 7:18:39 PM PDT by writer33

On Saturday, to blunt his pending loss in Wyoming, Donald Trump went on Fox and Friends to complain about Wyoming’s convention. He cast aspersions on Republican activists in the state, saying they could be bought. If they could be bought, the price was pretty low. Federal Election Commission data shows that up to February 29, 2016, Ted Cruz has reported spending less than $2,200 in the state.

Because election spending is regulated by the federal government, exactly how much Cruz spent, “months before” the Wyoming Convention, is known. The precinct caucuses in Wyoming were held between February 16 and March 1. Federal Election Commission data covers basically the entire caucus process and reveals that the Cruz campaign spent $2,127 between the start of the campaign and the end of February.

All this really does not matter.

Cruz will be mathmatically out soon.

The nation will tun on him if he continues his anti-Trump crusade.

If Trump would’ve even made an appearance in Wyoming, he might have snagged some delegates. But he did not make an appearance.

Screw the GOPe.
I really think it is time for Cruz to drop out
and run as a 3rd party candidate.
That’ll show ‘em!

And how much did the gopE spend for cruz? The fact is that cruz and the gopE have spent over $100M against trump, and Trump is still winning big.

Cruz promised other things that will cost tax payers big time. Plus Ted is making them sign pledge promissory notes. How gross.

We were pretty well organized here in Georgia, and I don't know anyone who saw a dime spent on any perqs. Heck, we are constantly barraged by emails asking for more of OUR money!

It's kind of like having a smart pet cat. He'll try different meows (demanding meow, plaintive meow, sickly meow, affectionate meow) until he finds the one that gets him the piece of chicken. With fund-raising, it's

Be part of our winning team!
Big event needs funding
Be a special deputy, we already sent you a card
2 to 1 matching, don't waste this opportunity
We haven't heard from you. Are you ill?
Your friends are giving, why aren't you?
We need the money before this deadline!
Help us keep the momentum going after the big win

I only donate sometimes after the big win, otherwise I'll get more of the other kind.

Yes and Cruz showed his ugly mug in New York and won’t pick up any delegates. I’d rather be in trumps position winning with voters.

Well, then Trump should have no trouble getting to 1,237 on the first ballot.

I hate to break it to the writer of this piece, since he based his entire writing around it. But Trump never said Cruz spent millions-— ooops, your bad... LOL

Wyoming was not a demonstration of Cruz’s “superior ground game”. It was a demonstration of GOP insider power in the ongoing negotiation process between Trump and the establishment. The sad thing is that Cruz is just a hapless pawn who’s career is being trashed by the insiders that have infiltrated his campaign team. Of course he isn’t helping himself by claiming “11 victories in a row” referring to Wisconsin and Wyoming. By the time Cruz is given the boot by the insiders at the convention his career will be in the toilet. It seems doubtful that he will get a second term in the Senate. If he runs for the presidency again he will make Santorum look like a superstar.

As Rush said today, the GOPe is quite happy with Ted Cruz as they would be quite happy having Hillary as President.

Yea I don’t believe trump will have any problem getting to 1237 either.. I would say his chances are about 65 percent. I also agree with the guy from the rules committee that if he gets 90 percent of the way to 1237 or about 1100 he will get the nomination..

The GOPe in several states have shown America that they think little to nothing of the public...The GOPe evidently doesn’t think that John Q public is smart enough to cast his vote the way the GOPe wants it cast...
