This is dead wrong. In both Colorado and Wyoming, all registered Republican voters in the state had the chance to vote and participate in the delegate selection process.

The Colorado Innocculation

Trump cleverly used the Colorado “rules change” situation that denied him any delegates as a warning to the party for the convention. Trump’s Wall Street Journal article about Colorado was perfect because it primed voters to be touchy about any future shenanigans. The party has been warned.

The Colorado situation is a perfect fit for Trump’s story. Trump is trying to break the system at the same time the system is acting rigged right in front of our eyes.

This is what Scott Adams described as "ritualistic placebo voting." Its function is to fool caucus attendees into believing that they're actually deciding something.

The Wyoming Republican Party website explains the process clearly: “Delegates to the state convention are elected by the county conventions. Delegates to the county convention are elected by precinct caucuses in their respective counties. Any person registered to vote Republican as of the call for precinct caucuses in a given precinct may vote in that precinct’s caucus”

Translation: The party activists, a relatively small number of insiders, will decide who the nominee is. As someone who has been engaged at the local level in GOP politics, including being a delegate at several state conventions, this is the way the GOPe maintains control over the process. We can debate the pros and cons of doing so, but to assert that these are the results of some sort of democratic process is nonsense. The rules are made to ensure GOPe control over the process.

.... I don't have any problem with anybody using "Rules" for their own tactical advantage ....

.... However ..... If what he is doing is illegal then Cruz definitely must go. BUT .... If he is just playing a better ground game, then Trump has to step up his game and adapt his own strategies to counter the opposition.

.... Heck .... Judging by his business acumen .... I am sure Mr. Trump is a good chess player ...... so it's time for a few fancy ground game chess moves of his own.
