So they planned this years ago? Are they time-travelling alien beings?
I hope they are paying you well
“So they planned this years ago?”
Obviously. Fidel Castro also plans for his voterless elections years in advance.
“So they planned this years ago? Are they time-travelling alien beings?”
No, just narcissistic control freaks who don’t want the will of the people to take their power away.
Narcissistic Personality Disorder:
Symptoms include an excessive need for admiration, disregard for others’ feelings, an inability to handle any criticism, and a sense of entitlement.
The disorder needs to be diagnosed by a professional. Treatment involves talk therapy.
>So they planned this years ago?
They planed to rig it for Jeb. Once every other GOPe candidate besides Cruz dropped out, they switched to Cruz.
No. They rigged the process. They did not want a vote ever. They have always wanted a controlled system.
Are the democrats’ 700 super-delegates a rigged system?
You miss the point. The same state legislators who created the legislative basis for this non-voting system statewide JUST HAPPEN TO BE on Cruz’s campaign team, ensuring their candidate benefits. Total conflict of interest.
Uhhh.....May 2015 was less than a year ago. When they planned it, it had already become unsettling that Jeb wasn't going to be an easy sale as the candidate, and there were rumblings that a lot of folks the elite didn't control were contemplating a run. They planned it as part of the scheme that the party insiders would control the delegates in as many states as possible.
Let me spell it out to you, in case nobody let you in on the plan. Jeb didn't have to win every state. But a lapdog who would support him did have to have control of as many states as possible, so they could throw their states delegates to Jeb if he didn't have it first ballot. Trump messed that up by driving Jeb out of the race. The only guys the not-so-invisible-anymore hand still has standing are Cruz (easily bought out) and Kasich. Thus, the strategy is down to them and anyone they can still dust off. When the rules were changed in CO, it was most probably because they knew those pesky voters couldn't be trusted to vote for someone in the in crowd.
That the state Senators who thwarted a vote to allow a primary are Cruz delegates is the smoking gun that it was a rigged game.
2DV, what happened to you this election cycle? I remember you as a poster who used to be quite disdainful of things that threaten the integrity of the US as a free nation, where voters decide.
Doesn’t matter. Cruz can do all the dirty crap he wants. It just legitimizes Trump going third party if they steal the nomination from him. I’ll gladly vote third party for Trump. Cruz keeps proving time and again that he is an INSIDER.
I see some responses to your post.
These Trump supporters have their heads tucked away.
Their brains must have toggle switches.
2ndDivisionVet fighting to preserve the corrupt uniparty along with Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Gram, Paul Ryan, Carly Fiorina, Nicky Haley, Mitch McConnell, Golden Sachs, The Club for Growth and the entire anti-American globalist GOPe establishment.
Why do they need to time travel? Cruz announced his candidacy in March of last year.
I think the point is that the kind of people who support Ted Cruz are also the kind of people who are against elections and the people's voice, and are for continuing the backroom dealings of a small, inbred "elite."
There does seem to be a good deal of contiguity between Cruz supporters and people who deal in political hackery.
Did you learn English grammar in school ?
Today is April 18, 2016. The article Mozilla posted has "In May of 2015, four Colorado Senate Republicans killed an initiative to create a presidential primary in 2016, reported the Denver Post."
This travesty of conservatism occurred less than a year ago.
Even worse, time-traveling alien beings from Mars, which is where Ted Cruz was really born. That Cruz was born in Canada of a U.S. mother is just cover story invented by Karl Rove. Cruz's real Martian birth certificate has been sealed!
It didn’t take years of planning, it happened in August. Nice try 2nd, but lying is so Ted Scruz.
This article is dated AUGUST 25, 2015, not even a year ago. This also proves that the GOPe, seeing Trump's success purposely went this route to hurt the outsiders. See the bold red highlighting below. The GOPe Gods determined that they and only they would be the goal keepers of the delegates. Sure you and other peasants could go through the process. But the GOPe has/had the power to say no to anyone who was pro Trump. I cannot imagine not even having a straw poll to reflect the will of the peasants.
Colorado will not vote for a Republican candidate for president at its 2016 caucus after party leaders approved a little-noticed shift that may diminish the state's clout in the most open nomination contest in the modern era.
The GOP executive committee has voted to cancel the traditional presidential preference poll after the national party changed its rules to require a state's delegates to support the candidate who wins the caucus vote.
The move makes Colorado the only state so far to forfeit a role in the early nomination process, according to political experts, but other caucus states are still considering how to adapt to the new rule.
It takes Colorado completely off the map in the primary season, said Ryan Call, a former state GOP chairman.
Republicans still will hold precinct caucus meetings in early 2016 to begin the process of selecting delegates for the national convention but the 37 delegates are not pledged to any specific candidate.
For Republicans, no declared winner means the caucus will lack much of its hype. The presidential campaigns still may try to win delegate slots for their supporters, but experts say the move makes it less likely that candidates will visit Colorado to court voters.
The Colorado system often favors anti-establishment candidates who draw a dedicated following among activists as evidenced by Rick Santorums victory in 2012 caucus. So the party's move may hurt GOP contenders such as Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Rand Paul, who would have received a boost if they won the state.
After JEB! suspended his “campaign” Cruz “inherited” Neil Bush, the “ground game” and these delegates, who were supposed to vote for the low energy one.
It’s very easy to connect the dots if you look at the big, crooked picture.
Yes. The GOPe has been screwing the voting base and rigging the system to disenfranchise the voice of the majority base for yeaes now. And Ted Cruz is just the latest POS that is enabling them. Ted Cruz is a totally unprincipled creep only for himself, and a kissing bug of the GOPe, who disrespects and betrays the mandate of the majority. Nothing could be more unprincipled then what we are all seeing happen as they treat us with total contempt. It will be the end of the Party this time, and Cruz will be the most responsible for hardwiring this corruption into the system and totally destroying any chance to defeat Hillary.
Oh, Tedlim. *chuckle*
Kentucky did something similar -- closed caucus with no ability to register for it after Dec. 31, 2015 -- in almost the exact short timeframe (Aug. 2015).
Fortunately Trump was able to win Ky because (a) there was some semblance of an actual vote; and (b) Sir Lard Huckabee's support of Trump -- who stood with Kim Davis when it counted -- undercut the Zevangelicals.
