Social media posts, along with Cruzs campaign website, reveal that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) supporters in the Colorado Republican Party were responsible for crushing an effort to give Colorado the ability to vote in a state primary. In May of 2015, four Colorado Senate Republicans killed an initiative to create a presidential primary in 2016, reported the Denver Post. Under the bill, Colorado would have held a presidential primary in March that ran parallel with the states complicated caucus system
when it came before the Senate Appropriations Committee, four Republicans voted to kill the bill with three Democrats supporting it. The four Republicans who voted against the initiative were Sen. Kevin Grantham, Sen. Kent Lambert, Sen. Laura Woods, and Sen. Jerry Sonnenberg. On Cruzs campaign website, Sens. Woods, Grantham, and Lambert are all listed as Cruz supporters and as declared members of Cruzs Colorado Leadership team. I am honored to have the support of so many courageous conservatives in Colorado, Cruz said about his so-called leadership team in early April. With our incredible team we are in a very strong position for this weekends assemblies in Colorado. Sen. Grantham is even an official Cruz delegate and Sen. Lambert is an alternate Cruz delegate.

I’ve asked this question and not opne of them ever answers it .
Are you not bothered in the slightest that the rules are made by the establishment he very same establishment you were against 3 months ago and so was cruz he claimed. They make the rules to suit who they want and make the rules to deny the voters their right to vote.
Does that bot bother you and still not one of them answers, because they are nothing short of a cult being given talking points by a loser who people don’t vote for and an establishment who they were against .
“I think the point is that the kind of people who support Ted Cruz are also the kind of people who are against elections and the people’s voice, and are for continuing the backroom dealings of a small, inbred “elite.”
Exactly! The GOP isn’t handing Cruz delegates because they support him. He is the only viable anti-Trump candidate left. Trump is going to blow up their trough and expose them even further. They don’t like it. They won’t have it.
“Trump and his supporters want to destroy the system. Isnt that right?”
Shouldn’t everyone have a vested interest in weeding and stomping on corruption? That doesn’t interest anyone but Trump supporters? Really?
Some posters exhibit the clear characteristics of an anti-social personality disorder. Of course they post inflammatory garbage, in hopes of snagging responders they can then bait and vent their nastiness on. Best simply to ignore them.
If you ignore them, they take it smugly as a victory. I think we've done best when we overwhelm them.
Even worse, time-traveling alien beings from Mars, which is where Ted Cruz was really born. That Cruz was born in Canada of a U.S. mother is just cover story invented by Karl Rove. Cruz's real Martian birth certificate has been sealed!
Sounds like some posters would classify Rush as a communist. I learned the term ‘will of the people’ from him. Rush has been talking for years about how ‘the Ruling Elite governs against the will of the people.’
Who knew Rush had Marxist leanings? S/
Nothing crooked here, Rush will not even mention this today
It didn’t take years of planning, it happened in August. Nice try 2nd, but lying is so Ted Scruz.
This article is dated AUGUST 25, 2015, not even a year ago. This also proves that the GOPe, seeing Trump's success purposely went this route to hurt the outsiders. See the bold red highlighting below. The GOPe Gods determined that they and only they would be the goal keepers of the delegates. Sure you and other peasants could go through the process. But the GOPe has/had the power to say no to anyone who was pro Trump. I cannot imagine not even having a straw poll to reflect the will of the peasants.
Colorado will not vote for a Republican candidate for president at its 2016 caucus after party leaders approved a little-noticed shift that may diminish the state's clout in the most open nomination contest in the modern era.
The GOP executive committee has voted to cancel the traditional presidential preference poll after the national party changed its rules to require a state's delegates to support the candidate who wins the caucus vote.
The move makes Colorado the only state so far to forfeit a role in the early nomination process, according to political experts, but other caucus states are still considering how to adapt to the new rule.
It takes Colorado completely off the map in the primary season, said Ryan Call, a former state GOP chairman.
Republicans still will hold precinct caucus meetings in early 2016 to begin the process of selecting delegates for the national convention but the 37 delegates are not pledged to any specific candidate.
For Republicans, no declared winner means the caucus will lack much of its hype. The presidential campaigns still may try to win delegate slots for their supporters, but experts say the move makes it less likely that candidates will visit Colorado to court voters.
The Colorado system often favors anti-establishment candidates who draw a dedicated following among activists as evidenced by Rick Santorums victory in 2012 caucus. So the party's move may hurt GOP contenders such as Donald Trump, Ben Carson and Rand Paul, who would have received a boost if they won the state.
There’s no longer denying the cultish nature of the pro-Establishment cabal. One of them actually told me that the GOPe is our best weapon for fighting liberalism. I said name one significant fight the GOPe has waged against Obama in the last 7+ years and won, on behalf on conservatism.
Crickets.
Driftdriver, your primise is false in that if you look at what our rulers in the Republican Party support it is no different then the fascist/socialists in the Democrat Party, none whatsoever. Their agenda is the same.
If you’re able to team tag them into silence—and you have the time and patience to duke it out—who am I to object? As a general rule, however, the only way to win against a poster that exhibits the clear traits of anti-social personality disorder is to not engage.
SO WHO FRIGGIN CARES! The voters of Colorado voted them their representatives. THEY are the ones who have to live with it. If that is their choice, so be it! If you live in another state, it is not your’s to judge. SO...Butt the hell out and shut up about it!
“Their agenda is the same.”
It has that appearance. IMO its a few people who have managed to get into important positions. The GOP as a whole has some really good people. We’re talking thousands of people on a national level.
Regardless, dumping the GOP isn’t going to solve anything. Nothing else has any organization, members, or credibility with the 70% of the population that is conservative to independent.
All it will do is pave the way for the democrats.
“Shouldnt everyone have a vested interest in weeding and stomping on corruption?”
Sure, but you didn’t answer the question. People are corrupt, systems and governments aren’t.
Yes, ignore anyone who disagrees with anything you think. Go live in an echo chamber. Talk badly about them behind their back, villify and de-humanize them. It will make it easier once the Party is established under the Glorious Leader.
When Lincoln ran the Whigs were saying the same thing. The rest is hidtory.
As far as I’m concerned if not Trump the party is done.
If Trump is the only option then the party is already done.
