I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat.

My reply:

Build the wall.
Enforce the law.
Deport them all.
End sanctuary cities.
End anchor babies.
Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.
Cut the taxes.
Cut the spending.
Cut the regulations.
Cut the government.
Cut the debt.
Cut the EPA.
Repeal ObamaCare.
Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines.
Send education back to states.
Get a handle on trade.
Make trade deals in our own best interests.
Bring back capital.
Bring back manufacturing.
Bring back jobs.
Strengthen the economy.
Defend the second amendment.
Defend religious freedom.
Appoint constitutional conservative judges.
Rebuild our military.
Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil).

End political correctness.
Take the GOP head-on.
Take the media head-on.
Take the liberals head-on.
And win, baby, win.

All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks).

No PACs.
No big donors.
No party support.

What’s democrat about any of the above?
What’s not conservative?
What’s not to like?

And I’ll add a few more:

Redo the horrid Iran deal.
Take a serious look at NATO.
Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

Rebuild the Reagan Coalition and attract blue collar workers by making America first again on manufacturing, trade, secure borders, economy and jobs, jobs, jobs!

Make America Great Again!

We don't want another lawyer, we want a leader.

I agree. The Executive Office needs a proven executive and not another Harvard lawyer and junior Senator.

“4. He says education is one of three primary duties of government”

False.

I heard that interview. You want to interpret it that way when he clearly stated he was referring to the more general idea of the things we need to do as a country.

Moreover, his specific plans include returning control to the local level and getting rid of most of the Department of Education.

So from a general and specific perspective, what he proposes is reducing the role of the federal government in Education.

That line alone shows me that you’re not interested in having an honest discussion. You’re distorting to spread propaganda.

Without Texas, this nation would have negative economic growth and gasoline would be over $4 a gallon.

More than 1 million jobs were created by Texas since 2008 so that you and your pals would have a place to flee to.

Texas has nothing to be ashamed of.

Really? Allow me to explain:

I'm truly disturbed at the lack of critical thinking on Free Republic in regards to Donald Trump.

[George Will, is that you?] Because people who don't gush over Cruz are not Critical thinkers and haven't thought out why they support Trump? Trying to belittle people who support Trump as being non critical is the height of arrogance. It also tells me that you are quite obtuse and can't see or accept other people's choices. How about if I say, Cruz supporters are just too ignorant to think for themselves and get their talking points from Levin, Limbaugh, and Beck? The comment that you made could have easily come from George Will when explaining why people support Trump.

I'm sorry but there are dozens of billionaires who have done those things but aren't qualified to be President.

Deflection is an art that Cruz supporters constantly use in this forum to defend Ted and his questionable actions/statements. If you think that Cruz (a junior senator with no executive experience) is more qualified that Trump (an accomplished and experienced executive), then perhaps you have no business questioning anyones critical thinking.

"He slanders conservative candidates like Cruz and Carson"

I'll bite. Show me the slander. Better yet, show me the lawsuit.

This cherry picking has been done to dozens of RINOS for decades here at FR Why is a billionaire from New York who became a Republican in June 2015 exempt from this skepticism? That is the thing I cannot understand here. This is 100% about Trump’s promises. We have ZERO political results.

Couple of things. He's called himself a republican since at least the 80's. He's been to Republican conventions. He's voted exclusively Republican according to NY state records.

Secondly he has no political records as you point out. None. Zero. Zip. He has no votes that go against (or for) conservative principles. He has no public policies that he's instituted. He has no political records at all. The RINO's you refer to ALL had verifiable RINO political records or agendas that were implemented.

So we're left with a choice. He's either COMPLETELY lying about what he's campaigning on or he's not. If he is lying then why?? So he can get elected President and prove himself to be a liar? And then have the Trump brand forever be associated with the biggest liar in the world? Every time someone sees a Trump property does he want them to say "You know, Donald Trump completely lied about his agenda...why the heck would I ever stay here?".

He's got a brand to uphold. A brand that needs to stay upscale and trustworthy. Why on God's green earth would he completely lie and ruin his entire brand and risk losing everything that's he's worked his entire life for? And risk losing it from his stockholders and family?

Some of us still suffer from Justice Roberts Syndrome. I don’t think he doesn’t believe all that, I just have been too shell shocked and betrayed to trust promises in the face of track record and being told “no this time it’s a sure thing!”

I honestly hope his handlers continue to fix his misstatements— which i heard live during the debate so I don’t need you to fix it for me— because he clearly does not understand basic aspects of conservative policy.

If another RNC candidate had said the same thing, they would be crucified here at FR.

I do think there are conservative handlers for Trump.

But how do i know they will continue to be in control.

Trump does not understand conservative ideology.

It is new to him.

He has been opposed to the “phone and the pen” tactic. He will work with Congress to make deals.

How will he achieve this? He will go to the people and let them know what’s going on there, the people will then put pressure on Congress.

I believe he can get things done. Perhaps not all he’d like, but alot and that’s a big plus over what we have now.

So is Romney. The same decent “Christian conservative” who lost to Obama then decided to declare war against the real Christian conservative base on behalf of another decent Christian “conservative” (Jeb Bush). And now that Trump beat the socks off of JEB (and about 15 others) Romney rides in with a herd of GOPe RINOS and millions in big GOP donor and PAC dollars to try to save another decent Christian conservative. Don’t look now but Cruz has become who he used to fight against.

Cruz has given speeches.

Trump has lived the life of a capitalist, providing jobs and paying taxes.

Cruz has lived off the taxpayers.

It’s time for someone who has been on the other side of government - paying into the system, having government regulations try to stop their goals - working for us. He knows what problems we face.

Those are two VERY different things! Dr. Fukino should stick to medicine and not dabble in constitutional law. I don’t care if he was born in the Lincoln bedroom! If Barack Hussein Mohammed Obama, Senior (A British subject from Kenya) is Mr. Obama’s father, there is no way he is a natural-born citizen!! Native-born, perhaps, but that’s not what the constitution calls for.

Lawsuits are the key aren’t they because this is how Trump governs— suing people

The pathological comment about Carson was slander in my opinion

The “worst liar” comment against Cruz is slanderous because Trump is close friends with Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Both of those people are liars of an exponential character that defies imagination.
