“Like all good entities (companies, etc.), the attitude of the entity almost always emulates the attitude at the top. No exception here.”

Optimism is good. It needs to be grounded in realism. A good CEO does not cook the books or inflate projections to unrealistic expectations of the investors.

I have heard Trump twice, with my own ears, leave open the possibility of a Cruz VP spot. This is very wise of him. He may not give the spot to Cruz, but it shows he is willing to be pragmatic and practical about the reality of the obstacles he faces. His supporters would do well to emulate that aspect of his leadership as well as his optimism.

Allen West has often been proposed. He brings military and Congressional political experience to the table.

He would be an interesting pick. I remember contributing to his campaign, even though he wasn't from my state.

All you have to do is look at his family to see how he lives his life in private and what his values are.
Productive members of society in business and industry and traditional marriages with families. Ronald Reagan didn’t even have that.

I’m not interested in a pure candidate that won’t get anything done because Congress is timid and will cave. I want a candidate that will push back hard and use that bully pulpit to get done what needs to get done or push out the do-nothing GOPe/Dem contingent holding it up.

Paul Ryan has no plans to be Speaker next year, as is obvious, which is why he is being primaried. He thinks he is going to be running for President, and continuing to support Cruz and Kasich is what Ryan wants.

Ryan absolutely cannot win the White House. He also has no interest in governing any differently from Obama/Bush/Clinton.

This is how serious this is.

Straight from the mouth of Trump’s son.

I’ve read Trump’s immigration plan. There’s nothing in there about amnesty after deportation.

Trump’s political registration records since 1987 are public and available online. During this period, Trump has been a registered Republican for more than twice as long as he was a registered Democrat.

If people would bother to read his books, look at the full-page ads he took out on policy issues in the 1980s, and watch his old interviews in their entirety, it should become clear to them that he was never an actual “liberal” and was always to the right of Rudy Giuliani for example.

Most of the people attacking Trump from the right only have heard bits and pieces of the full story of his past views or they are prone to great exaggeration about his current positions. He has always leaned towards a nationalist-populist stance that places the safety and economic security of Americans first. Some people may not see that as “conservative,” but it is fundamentally about conserving the nation.

My reply:

Build the wall. Enforce the law. Deport them all. End sanctuary cities. End anchor babies. Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration.

Bump to the top

Add Energy policy to the list.

Trump plans to make the USA energy dominant.
https://www.donaldjtrump.com/press-releases/an-america-first-energy-plan
He’ll do that by keeping the federal government out of the way of the oil gas and coal industries. See the press release for the complete list in his first 100 days.

I think it would be a good idea to shift 4th generation nuclear reactor work to the dept of defense where it would not be subject to NRC regulations—and would be eligible for DOD funding as a renewable or carbon free fuel.,,

Anyone with other ideas that they would like added to this list—please mention them.

Thanks for the ping!

Trump’s energy policy as you noted would throw the Sauds and Iran into a downward spiral that would take Isis and al Queda with them.

My reply: Build the wall. Enforce the law. Deport them all. End sanctuary cities. End anchor babies. Slap a moratorium on muslim immigration. Cut the taxes. Cut the spending. Cut the regulations. Cut the government. Cut the debt. Cut the EPA. Repeal ObamaCare. Get the feds out and allow health insurance to be sold over state lines. Send education back to states. Get a handle on trade. Make trade deals in our own best interests. Bring back capital. Bring back manufacturing. Bring back jobs. Strengthen the economy. Defend the second amendment. Defend religious freedom. Appoint constitutional conservative judges. Rebuild our military. Bomb the shit out of ISIS (and take their oil). End political correctness. Take the GOP head-on. Take the media head-on. Take the liberals head-on. And win, baby, win. All of the above on a shoestring budget compared to most of the 16 competitors he’s defeated (after they spent 100's of millions of donor bucks). No PACs. No big donors. No party support. ... Redo the horrid Iran deal. Take a serious look at NATO. Require our allies to pay more for their defense.

If Trump runs on your list - he wins. This is what he needs to talk about ...

Do you know that in a world of horrible change and drastic and bizarre flipflips, you are the one rock in this country that thousands lash themselves to?

I read stuff like this and I am reminded you are one of the only things I can count on to stay solid.

You know I don’t blow smoke up asses, no matter who a person is. You know I am also ethically sound, despite my fake-pervert ‘performance-art character’. You know I call em as I see em.

Thank you. For everything. But especially, for staying constant to your ethical standards.

he ain’t gonna do nothing he says. He is a liberal democrat and has not won 50% in any state, that is why 65% plus DO NOT WANT TRUMP THE WHACKO BIRD.

libbylu, unless you never really were a conservative, I bet you feel pretty stupid right about now.
