Ted Cruz sweeps Wyoming Republican Convention

It's a Ted Cruz sweep in Wyoming.

Cruz won 14 of 14 Republican National Convention delegates up for grabs at the Wyoming state convention here Saturday. The crowd here was clearly in Cruz's corner, as the Texas senator was the only candidate to make the trip to Casper -- ahead of a major snowstorm -- and Sarah Palin, scheduled to speak for Trump, previously canceled.

Yes, that is another one-— and jumping on Corey Lewandowski... like people could not watch the video and know he didn’t assault anyone...

Right. Those who, at this point in the process, pledge to not vote for the Republican candidate should be zotted.

Colorado, 2012:

                votes delegates
Rick Santorum 26,614	40.3% 6
Mitt Romney 23,012	34.9 13
Newt Gingrich 8,445	12.8
Ron Paul 7,759	11.8 5

Wyoming, 2012:

                votes delegates
Mitt Romney 577	44.0% 23
Rick Santorum 360	27.5 2
Uncommitted 203	15.5 —
Ron Paul 160	12.2 1

See? In 2012, the social squish had the lock with the GOPee Establishment, just like the squish has the lock in 2016...

He flips off wyoming and won’t even bother to send Sarah Palin there to speak and then apparently wonders why he didn’t win.

Or, he can read old primary totals, and decide to not waste any time or money playing GOPe Ted's game...

They all made such an issue out of that, and it was clear it was a set up. Cruz poked his hand repeatedly at a protestors chest the other day, was that an assault?

The Trump supporters deserve a better run campaign. These supporters are passionate about Trump and love their country. When Trump gets waxed in all these states, they should be yelling at Trump. It was Trump who either didn't know the rules of ignored them. That's just plain bad management. But instead the Trump supporters blame some nefarious plot to keep Trump down. They blame Cruz, GOPe. Trust me, if Trump has even remotely told his supporters they needed to go to county, district conventions, I am sure they would have.

Cruz winning these delegates is just as much Cruz organization as Trump's lack of one.

I notice that you didn't comment on the GOPe sticking it to the social conservative Santorum in 2012.

Looks like Ted has gone full squish for 2016...

Fact is Cruz doesn’t win states with more than a few dozen voters.

This is just not so.

The largest popular vote for any single candidate so far was in Texas where Cruz got 1,240,000 votes at 44%.

He won in Wisconsin with over 530,000 votes. In Oklahoma, Idaho, and UT, where they held regular primaries he won in each with over 100,000 vote in each.

So he does win some of those.

He also does very well in the caucus and county/state convention states where your ground game counts big time.

I agree it is not going to be enough. After Tuesday in NY he will not have any mathematical chance to get to 1237. I expect Trump will got over 50% of the vote there and probably win almost all, if not all of those delegates.

If Trump does well the next week (and I expect he will) he will have a commanding lead with a very good chance of getting to 1237...which I hope he does.

Cruz, after about May 3rd needs to, and I pray will, suspend his campaign and get behind trump.

I am a Cruz supporter...but we as a nation need:

1) To beat the dems in November.

2) Drive a stake into the heart of the GOPe.

Cruz can help make that happen by ultimately getting behind Trump and avoiding a raucous convention which will split the party and hand the lection to the Dems. By so doing he will also help drive that stake into the GOPe.

That is what I hope and pray happens.

Just wanted to let you know I appreciate your post although none of the trumpers will.

I don’t know what these people will do when Cruz actually wrests the nomination from Trump’s short fingers.

I’m glad none of them know where I live. They have gone totally insane.
