What if Trump really does understand system?
WND ^ | Joseph Farah

Posted on 04/16/2016 2:36:21 AM PDT by RoosterRedux

All the analysts seem to be persuaded that Donald Trump doesn’t understand the Republican Party rules that cost him some delegates in Colorado.

The rules were published last year. They were there for all the candidates to read and understand. Any of them could have done what the Ted Cruz campaign did in wooing those delegates. It wasn’t against the rules. It was part of the rules.

I’ve heard newscasters and pundits say the Trump organization just didn’t get it. Maybe they overlooked the rules. Maybe they didn’t understand them. Maybe they never read them or acted on them.

But what if Donald Trump, the master negotiator, the brilliant media tactician, the unparalleled manipulator of public opinion, DID know all about the rules? What if he didn’t bother going after those delegates because he knew it would benefit him more profoundly if he didn’t – turning what was perceived by his supporters and the general public unfamiliar with the arcane rules of the GOP into a national cause célèbre that would help his campaign steamroll over the competition in upcoming primaries in New York, Maryland, California and elsewhere?

Am I the only one who thinks Donald Trump didn’t earn $9 billion by being stupid?

I’m frankly really surprised that so many bright people, cynical people, suspicious people haven’t considered this possibility.

I have.

We all know Trump uses unusually harsh rhetoric in attacking people. He calls them liars. He calls them cheats. This is not the kind of talk we normally hear in American political campaigns, unless someone doesn’t know the microphone is live.

Trump does it routinely – every day.

*snip*

I have always believed it’s calculated behavior.

“Either he is a buffoon or he wants to lose”

You are joking right? No one is this naïve...

BTW, the rules were unethical, immoral those who imposed such rules so crudely on the people of Colorado deserve disgrace and imprisonment.

Been saying it all along. He had no chance of gaining any of these delegates. He knew this. He is running as an outsider. The campaign rigging claim goes with this narrative. It is also the same ploy currently being used by the Sanders campaign. Trump is positioning for the general election.

I think the GOPe just did what they do to everyone who isn’t a cultist like they are, and Trump is just looking to turn it to his advantage since he has the means to do so.

He wouldn’t bother them if he won by their “rules” (which for some reason they consider sacrosanct), but since that didn’t happen he is pointing out (gleefully) that their “rules” are themselves a violation of a much more widely held set of rules.

He may have gotten in as a stunt, but either way he is the R frontrunner against an eminently beatable D. He has far more executive experience than all the current contenders combined. It’s the biggest “deal” he could ever achieve, and his whole life has been about making deals. No way he’s scared of or otherwise doesn’t want to be president. He is, by far, the most qualified for the job (even if you don’t think it’s enough) among the candidates.

This is very simple. While you spend all of your time whining about whining because you are so twisted up with hate for Trump, there are many others of us around who have been concerned about the GOPe and the Democrats rigging elections for our entire lifetimes and long before the Republican Party came into existence. This longstanding tradition of corruption is destroying our Constitution, our Republic, and our culture. Now stop and think just how much your whining and complaining about Trump is going to influence all of the people and their families who look at the current candidates and then ask which of them is ready, willing, and able to bring some degree of significant accountability against the corrupt politicians of Democrat and Republican Parties with not so nice rhetoric?

Its pretty funny, the people that sit and congratulate themselves on Cruz & the GOP working from the same playbook, circling the wagons to hold off the invasion of the commoners.

The rest of us are supposed to keep quiet and take it or else we are whiners.....sucks to be you because Cruz & the GOPe have been forced to show their true colors all because Trump speaks up unashamed and is not cowed by the labels the RNC bullies desperately apply as their game falls apart.

Review some of the truths Trump has told this cycle at Breitbart.

I honestly don’t think he even thought about CO from some time ago. It’s clear his team didn’t make any effort in ID, SD, UT either. And, barring some remarkable development, they didn’t need those states.

But I think after he saw the reaction, he immediately pounced on the “unfair” and “undemocratic” angle. This wasn’t pre-determined-—it was a gut reaction that people are sick of the system being “rigged” and this looked very much LIKE a “rigged” system, even if it wasn’t.

In short, Trump tapped into the emotions people already had about the system. We have many examples in history where perceptions of what happened triggered a major upheaval, even if the specifics were wrong: the Indian Mutiny of 1857, or the French Revolution’s “let them eat cake.” The DETAILS of the specific event were only SYMBOLS of deeper concerns.

Keep spinning. If retweeting an image of her face is a vicious attack then the snowflakes have taken over the establishment.

Try a little perspective, Cruz’s surrogate tried to smear Melania in early March on National TV and the PAC followed up by distributing fliers and TV ads in a very socially conservative region to directly attack Trump through his wife.

Trump reminded Cruz that they both had wives and was extremely mild in his exposure of her Nationalist activism. She has stated that she and Ted are running for POTUS so her track record is pertinent and a legitimate area of concern.
