This is an excellent post by Farah. Trump is a master tactician and that is why he is actually the best qualified of the candidates.

He and his supporters are not angels—and yeah it is not “nice” to talk about “lying Ted”.

But—I agree that Trump is a Sun Tzu guy. Shape the battlefield, draw your opponent into the battlefield of your choosing, and then annihilate them.

We should see this in action in the Northeast states in the upcoming primaries.

As for the general election—rinse and repeat.

I get it: The Colorado GOP decided last August that nobody but the GOPe should have any voice in deciding who the candidate for president should be.

Then, through an astoundingly sharp bit of electioneering, ALL of the delegates go to Cruz, followed by a triumphant tweet "#NeverTrump".

Yet all of that was still Trump's fault, since he didn't decode the byzantine Colorado GOP loaded-against-him process and/or file a lawsuit to get the full electorate back into the actual voting process.

Swell. And you really think that I would ever vote for the scumbags that pull crap like this?

Or maybe he thought he’d win well enough without having to pay for some advice but discovered otherwise, which is why he finally hired some experts.

If he had just made the effort, he wouldn’t have lost so many delegates. Why risk an brokered convention when you don’t have to?

Understood the system and walked. Its logical he didn’t want to be jerked around.

Maybe he understood. Maybe it was calculated. Maybe he saw the potential in being able to display clearly to all of America how corrupt the current system is. Once that message was understood by the normally uninformed voters, it provided more opportunity for voters to turn to the “outsider” who’s running. Him.

Who knows? He’s not an idiot. He seems always to have been a couple steps ahead of the competition from the get-go, and has a well-honed sense of strategy.

Colorado was not the only State that Cruz cherry picked delegates away from tRump. No, do not believe this for a minute. tRump is not in to win this.

He got in the race to promote a contract for a new reality TV show and did not think he would ever get this for and now he is stuck.

He cannot get out and he sure does not want to win because being president of the US is just not his gig. Why would he not know the rules if he is SO smart and such a GREAT businessman and SO good at making deals.

Either he is a buffoon or he wants to lose

Seems a typical reaction of most north-easterners to anything different than what they consider the ‘norm’ which is their way they do things.

Face it our culture is made up of three ways of thinking, there is the West coast way of doing things the Northeast coast way and there is the middle of the country made up of the great unwashed of red necks, bible toting gun carrying inbreds. Well I for one am a proud unwashed and I am always ready to use my bible or my gun or both to run hippies and Yankees back to where they come from.

Funny how infowars is supposed to be the conspiracy nuts but are reporting and interviewing real delegates about what really happened.. No other media has done such interviews to such extent... And the ones who are supposed to be sane, like this media outlet have turned into the conspiracy kooks. This is laughable if not so pathetic to see.

“If he had just made the effort, he wouldn’t have lost so many delegates. Why risk an brokered convention when you don’t have to?”

You just refuse to face and publicly acknowledge reality. There are plenty of voters and delegates who would and/or did vote for Trump, but the GOPe used a variety of fair and foul tactics to make sure those votes and delegates were never going to be allowed to proceed forward into the conventions. Trump and his handlers doubtless expected something like this to occur, and they just as likely recognized they would not be able to effectively intervene to stop what the GOPe wished to accomplish. Rather than act with futility, Trump and his handlers likely waited until the GOPe actually did something improper to give the Trump campaign the excuse to win sympathy from voters in other states at the expense of the candidate being backed by the GOPe.In other words, if you can’t stop the dirty tricks, wait and scream bloody murder against the offender to turn the voters against the perpetrators.

These master tacticians are already the establishment. Why do you accept lies (which it would be if he was manipulating media and voters) when it is your candidate being dishonest but then rage if cruz simply follows the written rules? The end justifies the means—if it’s good enough for one, it’s good enough for all.

It seems that the system, when it doesn't start with private votes in primaries, starts with making deals and promises in order to get delegate support. Isn't that exactly what Trump is campaigning against, insider deals where pols make promises for support?

Shouldn't we all be uncomfortable with delegates who don't represent or in the case of CO even know the will of the voters?

Nurse Ratchet....hahahahha. I thought that was Nurse Cratchet.

No he is not. He got in it to boost his ratings and try and promote up for an new reality TV show but now he is stuck.

Did not know he would get such a following of the country (although 64% of Rep do not want).

He cannot quit or he would pi$$ off his followers (the Zs) and lose TV ratings. Bad for business

So he has to stick and show some resemblance of trying to win the race now.

So, he fires some people, shuffles the chairs on the poop deck and yells, "It is RIGGED", like we did not already know that. Whole damn country is rigged.

Mark this down and you get back with me.
