Climate change is a “global crisis,” and addressing it will bring “economic dislocation,” including job losses, Sen. Bernie Sanders said at Thursday’s CNN-hosted Democrat debate in Brooklyn.

“Pope Francis reminded us that we are on a suicide course,” Sanders said. “Our legislation understands, …that there will be economic dislocation. It is absolutely true. There will be some people who lose their job. And we build into our legislation an enormous amount of money to protect those workers. It is not their fault that fossil fuels are destroying our climate. But we have got to stand up and say right now, as we would if we were attacked by some military force, we have got to move…urgently and boldly.”

Sanders has called for a nationwide ban on fracking, a phase-out of all nuclear power in the U.S., and a carbon tax. “We have got to tell the fossil fuel industry that their short-term profits are not more important than the future of this planet,” he said. …

That’s OK. Those put out of a job by Bernie’s strategy for fixing the non-existent global warming problem can just go on the dole.

Trashing the economy is a feature of his plan, not a bug. Socialists want power and they want you dependent on them. A strong economy helps you be less dependent and that is why they constantly fight to weaken the economy.

Yikes. No fossil fuels and nuclear power. I’m guessing Bernie’s concept of powering the country is one billion hamsters on wheels.

Same as 0bama. These freaks are deliberately destructive.

Woo Hoo! Oh, uh, maybe not. Flashbacks to Moscow apartments with freezing tenants and bread lines (which uncle bernie likes) while the “supremes” lived in up in their “dachas”. Yup, communism is good for a select few. The rest of the peons, not so much. Kinda like forced mass transit and moving folks into city centers to control their every move. Uh, I mean save the erf. Or something.

And we build into our legislation an enormous amount of money to protect those workers.

Well, I guess since Bernie legislated it, this money will just appear!

Liberals most fear the person who doesn’t need liberals.

Well America, there’s your warning.

Just like the 0bamahole said about electricity rates and coal, here’s the commie Bernie promising more of the same...

Time will tell as to whether or not America and her grand experiment can be recovered or not.

Kill jobs so we can tax workers more to provide money for training the workers whose jobs we killed so we can “change” the weather.

Idiots.

Bernie’s plan will require huge tax increases to pay for the free college education and ham trees he’s going to give away, while at the same time his environmental policies will put all of those taxpayers out of business and eliminate the revenue stream.

And he knows both of these things will happen under his plan.

What could possibly go wrong?
