Gallatin Police Department officials have released body cam and dash cam video of a fatal officer involved shooting. The shooting happened Wednesday morning. Gallatin officers were responding to a call from assistance from Sumner County Deputies.

That was my concern in a previous thread last week. Those cops in the background were directly in the line of fire from what I can discern. Scary stuff.

I don’t think universal body cam use will help the BLM bunch. When the screeching for "every cop must have a body cam" started, someone here predicted that the day would soon come when BLM and other civil rights organizations would demand that the cameras be removed because the resulting videos would not do the race industry any good.
I wish I could remember who said that. It was back during the "Gentle Giant" - Darren Wilson fiasco.

I agree. Sometimes the cops are wrong. This wasn’t one of them. I think he should have shot her about 15 feet earlier.

I know some bi-polar people. Some have been very close friends, but no, that diagnosis does NOT give you Carte Blanche’ to walk around eff-ing people up w/o any consequences! Danger is danger, no matter where it comes from. Even a smiling, barefooted child can present a threat if they hold a weapon.
