Ted Cruz Picks Up Nebraska Delegates over No Show Donald Trump

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)97% can add Nebraska to his list of states where he’s out organized GOP frontrunner Donald Trump in collecting delegates.

“Party officials say they saw virtually no organization by the mogul’s campaign last week when Republicans in all 93 Nebraska counties held local conventions. Those county conventions picked 800 delegates to May’s Nebraska state convention, where 33 delegates to the national convention in Cleveland will be selected,” Politico reports. “Because there was little resistance, many county conventions became Cruz pep rallies, according to interviews with party insiders and convention attendees.”

“I didn’t see any Trump supporters,” said Washington County GOP member John Orr told Politico.

The exit polls give you insight into who different groups voted for.

So, do the exit pollers take a copy of the voter's official ballot, and have the voter write their particulars on it?

Does Nebraska have any 12,000 seat stadiums?

Trump: “Don’t forget, I only complain about the ones where we have difficulty.”

It's all orchestrated for the desired effect. Trump complains and his supporters go rabid.

Did we take a wrong turn somewhere, and end up in an old-time insane asylum?

He doesn’t now.
Low value targets.
Low density populations.
No actual voters even involved. To Trump not interesting relative to beating Hillary.
The race with Ted is over. It’s academic.
Trump will win the Northeast the old South and enough on the west coast to secure the nomination.

Everybody who keeps statistical data and makes decisions knows this is over at New York.

I’m saying the “GOPe” didn’t select them - the voters did. By giving them a majority of the delegates.

Trump is not able to do the same. He doesn’t have majority support and is entitled to nothing more than the first ballot votes he earned. The rest is about organization and relationships.

Since he’s the master of the deal, he should have planned for this.

If he loses cause the majority of delegates at the convention aren’t his supporters, that’s on him.

I read an article this morning about a poll on the social connections of Trump (and Cruz) supporters. Half of Trump’s supporters (and about 24% of Cruz’s) are civically disengaged. They don’t go to church, they don’t participate in any group activities, like PTA, book clubs, sports teams, etc.

It is easy to get this type of supporter to go to a rally or to get them to the voting booth. Those are lone activities. One might argue that going to a rally isn’t a lone activity, but it is actually a bunch of people showing up separately, listening to a speech, then all going their separate ways never to meet again, not an on-going social involvement.

These types of people are very difficult to organize and don’t want to attend caucuses or get involved. And when you’ve got ineffective (or even absent) organizers on top of that, there goes a bunch of the other 50% that would like to get involved but need some instruction.

You're talking all wrong about our guy Kim Jong Cruz. It's the wrong tone.

I can't wait till the Nebraska one comes out... :)

Trump is a sure loser. Only the noisy minority in his thrall think he’s electable.

Paul also said Cruz is cheating across the board, that those who went into these Cruz swamps don’t even want to be Republicans when they come out

And this is the new Obamania...Trumpamania where everything Trump's sleazy long-time establishment political operatives say is accepted as stone scripture handed down from the Dear Leader. Did Manafort deliver this info while he and Roger Stone where in the hot tub at the local sex club?

It seems to be the Trump camp who doesn’t want to be Republicans. They’re constantly bashing everyone in the party, even the most conservatives standard-bearers Cruz and Walker.

Trump should’ve run as a Democrat. Then he would have had to flip-flop on almost none of his positions.

You're starkers, Soothing.

The PubRinos have been stringing us along for election after election, and now they've come out of the Uniparty Closet.

All the Cruz voters will be able to take a single bus to the polls in November.

Cruz is going nowhere. Another corrupt delicate selection by the RNC>

Do you seriously think Cruz isn't going to win the Nebraska primary? Will you put your life savings on that bet? Are you upset Trump didn't "steal" delegates from Cruz in a state he's sure to win?

Trump is a sure loser. Only the noisy minority in his thrall think he’s electable.

The Wisconsin Democrats picked the sure loser last week.

Ted Cruz in the Milwaukee counties.

If the Democrat Party, which OWNS the Wisconsin vote, thought that Trump was a sure loser, then Trump would have won the squish Milwaukee counties. :)

“Trump should have run as a Democrat...”

Are you kidding? He IS running as a Democrat ... personal attacks, claiming the system is rigged against him, threatening those who disagree? No real arguments, just a lot of shouting and rabble-rousing? Little Donald could give lessons to Dems on how to run a Democrat-style campaign.

Fine. You play that out all the way then. If the guy with most support isn’t good enough, go all the way to the bottom and get the guy with the least support. If you are going to throw an election, DO IT BIG!
