Sarah Palin To Woo Delegates For Donald Trump In Wyoming
Breitbart ^ | April 13, 2016 | Charlie Spiering

Posted on 04/13/2016 6:36:15 AM PDT by don-o

Donald Trump is sending Sarah Palin, one of his best political surrogates, to the Wyoming Republican State Convention, in an effort to woo delegates to his campaign.

On Saturday, Wyoming State Delegates will select the remaining 14 delegates to represent the party in Cleveland. Twelve delegates were already selected at party’s county caucuses in March. Three other delegate slots go to the party’s national committeeman, national committeewoman, and the chairman of the Wyoming’s Republican Party.

Trump is anxious to stop the flow of delegates to his rival Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 97% . In Colorado, Cruz swept all 34 delegates in the state awarded by congressional district meetings last week.

Cruz, however, begins the Wyoming campaign for delegates already ahead. In March, Cruz earned nine delegates while Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 78% and Donald Trump only earned one delegate each. The Texas Senator has already traveled for two campaign events in Wyoming, making it clear that he wanted to compete in the state.

Cruz is expected to speak for himself at the convention while Idaho Gov. Butch Otter will speak for John Kasich.

Sarah is supporting COMMONSENSE CONSERVATISM-it is rooted in practical realities not flowery speeches by Constitutional purists. She understands the smoke signal sent out by Jeff Sessions.

FWIW, I would be voting for Trump in the April 26 Pennsylvania primary if he wasn't polling a very solid lead already. We'll be voting for Cruz only because we don't want Kasich, the George Soros Stooge, finishing second.

Most Cruz supporters I know (including me) will enthusiastically vote for Trump in the general election.

Yeah, too bad he doesn’t have Glenn Buck out there preaching for him.
He’ll just continue to kick Lying Ted’s ass with actual voters. The next month is going to see the whiny and effeminate Canadian establishment butt boy meet his official demise in the primaries. Sure he’ll stick around to annoy the 80% of voters who rejected him but I’m sure he’ll continue to cry and cheat in the background, which is good enough for the likes of his GOPe supporters.
Enjoy your crow, there will be extra.

Interesting. So, is this cheating and stealing?

What is interesting is we have one candidate running as a candidate of the people and one candidate running as a GOPe stooge, running solely on the premise that the GOPe will eliminate his challenger. We hated it when the GOPe forced Romney on us, now we seem more than happy to give them a hand.

I do not like the idea of a direct democracy but I hate an Oligarchy even more, hope you do as well.

Commonsense conservatism?

Meet the Press, 1999:

Russert asked Trump about gay marriage. Trump didn't want to comment on it, but said he has no problem with gays in the military.

He explained, "I've lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life, okay? So my views are a little bit different than if I lived in Iowa."

When Russert asked Trump about abortion, he said he's "pro-choice in every respect" and again cited his New York background, which he said has a "different attitude" from most of the country

Here's Trump in 2013 touting communist Bill de Blasio for mayor of New York City. He was 67 years-old at the time.

Fred Dicker: What is it going to mean for Donald Trump to have Bill de Blasio as [New York City] Mayor?"

Donald Trump: "He's a smart guy that knows what's going on really big league and I think he is not going to want to destroy New York."

(Voice Over: That was Donald Trump a little over two years ago, endorsing [Marxist] Bill de Blasio for New York Mayor)

Donald Trump: "I think pretty strongly that he'll end up being a good mayor, maybe a very good mayor."

(Voice Over: De Blasio ran on class warfare, sanctuary cities and ending stop and frisk. De Blasio's sided with looters and cop killers against the police, with teachers unions against schoolchildren and with PC liberals to let the homeless run wild on city streets)

Donald Trump: "I think he is going to want to make New York great. ..."

"It's not the first time Trump has taken a pro-LGBT stance. As far back as 2000, Trump was advocating the idea of amending the 1964 Civil Rights Act to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation - something the currently-pending Equality Act would basically do if lawmakers on Capitol Hill ever decided to pass it.

"Amending the Civil Rights Act would grant the same protection to gay people that we give to other Americans - it’s only fair," Trump told The Advocate in February, 2000.

In the same interview, Trump said he favored "a very strong domestic-partnership law" that guaranteed same-sex couples equal legal rights as married, heterosexual couples.

Trump also said he believed Don't Ask, Don't Tell - the military's then-ban on openly gay service members - had "clearly failed."

Trump's spokesperson, Hope Hicks, did not immediately respond to msnbc's request for comment on where the presidential candidate stood on the Equality Act. But his longstanding support for ending discrimination against gay people has been well documented. ..."

Trump expects forward motion on gay rights as president

Chris Johnson
February 5, 2016

Donald Trump said forward progress on LGBT right would happen on his administration.

In contrast to other recent remarks, Donald Trump said on Thursday progress on gay rights would continue under his administration and cast himself as a uniter of people regardless of their views on the issue.

Trump made the remarks in New Hampshire just days before the state’s primary in an interview with New England Cable News’s Sue O’Connell, who’s also publisher of the Boston-based LGBT newspaper Bay Windows.

O’Connell, a lesbian, asked Trump if the country can look for more “forward motion” on gay and lesbian rights if he’s elected to the White House.

“Well, you can,” Trump answered.”

And look, again, we’re going to bring people together, and that's your thing and other people have their thing. We have to bring all people together and if we don’t we’re not going to have a country anymore.”

It’s hard to say what kind of forward progress would happen on LGBT rights under a Trump administration.

In a 2000 interview with The Advocate, Trump said he supports amending federal civil rights law to include sexual orientation. Although Trump has said in this election cycle companies shouldn’t fire people for being gay, but hasn’t said whether he still supports amending federal law to achieve that goal or whether he would also support protections for transgender people.

Meanwhile, Trump has signaled qualified support for the First Amendment Defense Act, federal religious freedom legislation seen to enable to anti-LGBT discrimination. An opponent of same-sex marriage, Trump said on Sunday he would consider appointing justices to the Supreme Court who would reverse the ruling in favor of marriage equality.

Gregory Angelo, president of Log Cabin Republicans, said the remarks reveal a glimmer of hope Trump would be a friend to LGBT people in the White House.

“As I’ve long said, putting all else aside — and with Donald Trump, that can, at times, be a herculean task — there is a legitimate case to be made that Donald Trump would be an ally to the LGBT community as President of the United States,” Angelo said. “Trump confirmed that today.”

Once again, Cruz is going to be at a state convention while Trump will not be there.

Cruz has given up on the Northeast. That's why he can go to Wyoming.

Losing New York, PA, CT, ... there is NO WAY Cruz can get 1237.

All he can do is stop Trump.

If Cruz thinks the GOPe will nominate him, he's delusional.

If Cruz thinks the Democraps and the media will allow him to slide the Natural Born Citizen issue, he's delusional.

Cruz is delusional.

Stupid - if Cruz had played fair, he might have gotten a Supreme Court nomination. Not now.

As I remember, it was Cruz who attacked first (to his donors), talking about Trump having bad character and temperament for the job. I am certain that was the beginning.

I'm not excusing Trump for his outbursts, he should have not fired back in kind (just my opinion).

As far as Heidi goes, I think the Melania ad in Utah was what started that. Had Ted railed against the ad as he should have, things might have been different.

I do hope it calms down, neither is doing a long term job to unify down the road. Which will be necessary.
