YOU WON’T BELIEVE THIS! CRUZ SUPPORTERS ATTEMPT COUP AT EAGLE FORUM!

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly has been a national leader of the conservative movement since the publication of her best-selling 1964 book, A Choice Not An Echo. She has been a leader of the pro-family movement since 1972 when she led the fight to defeat the Equal Rights Amendment.

Phyllis Schlafly is 91 years-old.

On March 11, 2016 conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly endorsed Donald Trump for President at his St. Louis rally.

But not everyone in her organization, Eagle Forum – or her family – agreed with Phyllis Schlafly’s decision.

Last week Phyllis Schlafly released several board members for disloyalty to the organization. The group was planning to hold rogue board meeting to take over the Eagle Forum.

Today the rogue Cruz supporters attempted a coup.

They held a non-sanctioned meeting and blocked Phyllis Schlafly from their conference call.

This email was sent out Monday afternoon.

St. Louis, Missouri:

“At 2pm today, 6 directors of Eagle Forum met in an improper, unprecedented telephone meeting. I objected to the meeting and at 2:11pm, I was muted from the call. The meeting was invalid under the Bylaws but the attendees purported to pass several motions to wrest control of the organization from me. They are attempting to seize access to our bank accounts, to terminate employees, and to install members of their own Gang of 6 to control the bank accounts and all of Eagle Forum.

“The members of their group are: Eunie Smith of Alabama, Anne Cori of Missouri, Cathie Adams of Texas, Rosina Kovar of Colorado, Shirley Curry of Tennessee, and Carolyn McLarty of Oklahoma.

“This kind of conduct will not stand and I will fight for Eagle Forum and I ask all men and women of good will to join me in this fight.”

This is a developing story—-

Marlowe: ". . . .claims to be a Great Christian but has never once repented of any of his sins."

Rashputin: He's a solid, Presbyterian, Calvinist. Since you've obviously never read Calvin or Presbyterian theologians...

Marlowe: So since you claim to be so familiar with Calvinist teachings, are you saying that a man can be a serial fornicator his whole life, never once pray and ask God for forgiveness of any of his sins and still be a "Great Christian" simply because he is a Calvinist?

Trump claims to attend Marble Collegiate Church, which is NOT Presbyterian, but a congregation of the liberal Reformed Church in America.

Take a look at their Mission Statement

Marble Collegiate Church is a diverse, inclusive community of God’s people led by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. We inspire everyone to become positive thinkers who make a difference in the world.

Note the LGBT friendly buzz words, as well as the squishy social justice tone. Here is a quiz question, where does the term positive thinkers originate? /Their former pastor, Norman Vinvent Peale / (for the answer drag click and drag between the backslashes.)

Think I'm overreacting? Here is an event you can attend tonight and see for yourselves:

Supporting LGBTQ People in Religious and Spiritual Settings

Intersections International, 145 West 28th Street, New York, NY 10001, 11th Floor
Tuesday, April 12, 2016 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

As the world has become more LGBTQ-affirming, many spiritual and religious leaders have too… and some have been leading the way! Is that you? And would you like additional tools for your ministry with and to LGBTQ people?

In these first-ever 5-part series, the Blanton-Peale Institute and Counseling Center, Rev. Shari K. Brink, President, and Believe Out Loud/Intersections International, James Rowe, Director, partner to bring together mental health professionals and religious and spiritual leaders to discuss and develop skills for supporting LGBTQ people.

If Trump attends this social change organization I'm not surprised he doesn't feel the need to repent. In the tradition of Norman Vincent Peale, and his spiritual grandson, Joel Osteen, the only sin out there is not having positive thoughts.

As solid, Presbyterian, Calvinist (Or Dutch Reformed/Reformed Baptist) would flee from this congregation. Nothing to see here but whitewashed tombs.

The problem is that it appears we have two different sets of facts presented here and some things that no one is talking about much.

You would be screaming bloody murder if these were accusations against a client, and you had this transcript.

I always advise my clients to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Maybe that's bad legal advice, but then I know that it is better to be upfront and honest so that you don't get caught in a lie on the stand.

I would not try to spin those statements like some here have done. The fact of the matter is that when you dodge a simple question like "have you ever asked God for forgiveness" and then say you don't know, then you come off sounding like Hillary Clinton at the Benghazi hearings.

I don't recall. I don't recall. I don't recall.

Wow!
If they felt to so strongly about it, the appropriate response would be to quit and start their own organization.

However, they chose to use the rules in place to hijack and steal the organization, including all the money, that Phyllis has had in her command and control since the Forum’s inception.

This did not happen spontaneously. This was a long-term pre-planned invasion.

This is what a Cruz Presidency looks like, people.

I was for Cruz for a Season then I was for Trump for a season. I am now looking and hoping for a contested convention and praying that neither of these clowns is given the nomination.

That is not an unwelcome scenario for me either. Cruz belongs on SCOTUS. Phyllis Schlafly agrees.

It makes me wonder if the unwise board members bothered to read Schlafly’s book A Choice not An Echo”. Had they read the book, they might have realized that Trump is the only logical choice.

I get the feeling that people have not read or listened to precisely why Schlafly endorsed Trump.

You can take it anyway you want!.One Vike

We were all there for him, and rightly so......nothing held back
It was a terrible time......and our hearts went out to him.

So, One Vike, who gave you the right to doubt my sincerity?

P-Marlowe jumped into. the fray of this thread and started posting insults
I was not expecting this.

OneVike, you simply have it all wrong.

I am still very sorry for his loss....
...nothing you say can negate that!

That it’s in breaking news is equally embarrassing.

it seems that many who are stuck on whether or not Trump has asked the God of the Christian Bible for forgiveness had no problem in 2012 voting for the Mormon Romney with his many Mormon gods, who not only has never asked God for forgiveness, he doesn’t believe in the Christian God nor the Christian Bible...

Discuss that
____________________________________________________

OK. Romney was a full blown heretic. I knew it then, I know it now. It was an election that pitted a Muslim vs. a Mormon.

Is that enough discussion?

They were not acting in accordance with the law.
They made the mistake of thinking Ms. Schlafly was too old to fight back and would not dare take this public.

She didn’t get to where she is today by being a timid little flower.

Beating up and attempting to steal from an old woman is not popular activities with decent people.

I recall 99% of the people on this forum condemning Obama for attending a politically correct pseudo Christian church where the gospel of social justice was preached and the Gospel of Christ was rejected.

The Gospel of Positive Thinking is not the gospel of Christ. Trump bragged about growing up listening to Norman Vincent Peale's sermons and how he wished that they would never have ended.

But as the Late Walter Martin once said, "Paul is appealing but Peale is appalling."

Thanks for the information. But it will fall on deaf (itching) ears.

The set of facts that has Phyllis seating her daughter two days ago is false. He daughter has been on the board for years, I don't exactly how long, but she appeared on CSPAN in 2012 as an Eagle Forum board member.

I do wonder about the issue with the banks. If the meeting was in order, and the only change is signature authority of the ex-president, I see no reason for a bank to object. There is some other machination going on with the account takeover attempt.

I also wonder if there are any claims of mental incompetence. Obviously, the board would not want to make those claims public, "out of respect" of course they would say. I can see a bank balking at a claim of incompetence, unless that claim is supported with a court order.

“Phylis (sic) took it upon herself to endorse Trump without the consent of the rest of the members”

An individual can personally endorse anyone; it isn’t a committee “thing”. Falwell endorsed Trump and he made it clear it was his endorsement and not Liberty’s.

I am so sick of the Cruisers who boast abut this kind of tactic. As far as I can tell what they are doing is shutting down ANYONE who disagrees with them. That ain’t politics (unless you are a dimwit or live in a banana republic).

If the Cruz campaign thinks this is good strategy they better think again.

I am more and more convinced that Ted is delusional and actually thinks he needs to do these dishonest things to bring about what he sees as God’s will......Such arrogance

He will never be nominated by a president who led cheers of "Lying Ted! Lying Ted! Lying Ted!"

Maybe he belongs there, but Trump is not the guy to nominate him. You can't walk stuff like that back. If Trump believes that Ted Cruz deserves the title "Lying Ted", then Ted Cruz would not be an acceptable nominee.
