Cruz belittles Trump's response to delegate defeats
Washington Examiner ^ | 4/11/16 | Ryan Lovelace

Ted Cruz mocked Donald Trump for "a lot of whining" and "cursing" over losing delegates to the Texas senator on the campaign trail.

Cruz told a California crowd he won "11 elections" in the past three weeks and said Trump has been beside himself ever since. The senator picked up scores of delegates in Colorado this weekend, which prompted Trump to deliver an indignant response on Twitter questioning the nominating process of the Centennial State.

"Now in response, Donald has been yelling and screaming, a lot of whining, I'm sure some cursing, and some late-night fever-tweeting. All the characteristics, I would note, we would want of a commander in chief," Cruz said on the trail in California. "And the latest thing he's seized upon is when people vote against him, they're stealing the election. It's a really odd notion. 'Well what is this democracy of which you speak? Wait, wait you mean voters get to vote? No, no, no. No, no, no.'"

Cruz went on to tout the importance of the upcoming Golden State nominating contest, and said it would determine the outcome of the entire GOP primary.

"I'm going to say a sentence that has not been said in 50 years. California is going to decide the Republican nomination for the presidency," Cruz said.

The California primary's 172 delegates will be up for grabs on June 7. Cruz is campaigning in the Golden State this week, and is making stops in Irvine and San Diego on Monday.

Manafort said while everybody was obsessing about CO this past weekend, the Trump campaign took all the committee spots in MI and AL and was set to do the same in NV.

Ted is even more of revolting GOPe hack than Romney is and was.

I bet Ted is relishing the fact he is about to finish 3rd in Pennsylvania yet win the majority of delegates, which are unbound, through nefarious means. Screw the voters when you have the Republican establishment on your side!

If a “score” is 20, how can anyone get “scores” of delegates in a state with less than 40 delegates?

Ted Cruz is a fool and that’s what the GOP is playing him for.

I hope you are right

It’s lining up Trump gets at least 1120 per asshat Rush and some professional caller today

Crust will be less than 700

How in that scenario could they possibly justify giving it to Cruz beats me

Newsflash

The GOP hierarchy has already given up winning in November

The race is about stopping Trump for them by whatever means

Cruz didn’t win a single vote cast by a voter. The only “votes” came from party hacks.

Cruz is a liar! He talks about traveling the high road but he lives on the low road

I regret ever supporting him. I don't like him or his wife!

The kids are cute!

Maybe it's in metric scores.

And this kind of schoolboy taunting is EXACTLY the reason why I can't support Cruz.

Because you have your Trump blinders on.

If "schoolboy taunting" is enough to send you over the edge regarding Cruz, then how can you support Trump's thin-skinned, lashing-out, hyperbolic, threatening, law-suit-touting, thuggery each and every day of the campaign?

Trump has absolutely no self control nor self discipline. The fact that some simple "schoolboy taunting" can send Trump and his supporters into a blind, destructive rage doesn't reflect well on him or his supporters.

Won elections or was handed the CO delegates ?

Picked up Trump's fumble and ran it in for a touchdown. If Trump's campaign is too ignorant to know that they could have picked up the fumble too, that's on them. Not on Cruz.

Colorado Trump supporters had their chance on March 1st at the precinct caucuses. Cruz precinct captains turned out their vote and the Trump campaign was AWOL.

For someone who says he hires the best people, he did a piss poor job of putting people in place in Colorado.

He does have nice kids. It’s a real shame that his wife works 80 hour weeks and let’s the help raise them. That can’t be healthy in the long run.
