The only good economic news to most people, who don’t follow the economic news ( which actually looks bad with 0% growth ) is the gas prices under $2 and a generally mild winter with lower utility bills. Although Obama had nothing to do with it and is doing all he can to ensure that kind of windfall will be cut off in the future, he benefits. So will the rebound of the oil price whittle away at his popularity , or will it be the collapsing economy drags the oil demand down again.
I am a big time investor, and the word is very clear that there is a world of hurt coming for the American middle class as far as the economic situation, and likely to hit before the elections and the trigger will be some coming earnings report - not the cause, which is massive debt both by government and by those in private - but the trigger.
Whatever the lame stream media is trying to sell, it isn’t going to work come this August. I am moving a lot of money into gold funds, potash, grains, and also keeping a bit of oil (this one may not make sense, but “just in case” WW3 breaks out).
By the way, the “great migrations” are soon to get worse with “oil refugees” fleeing Nigeria, Angola, other areas of Africa into Europe and US as well wjth tumbling oil dependent economies, and from Venezuala into the US.
Bad is coming.

I have a usually conservative acquaintance that wishes Obama could have a third term. His thinking is that given the pitiful choice of candidates in 2016, the devil we know may better than the devil we don't. So far this acquaintance has refused my offers for professional help referrals.
