Sorority ditches Kentucky Derby party over "racial connotations"
Fox News.com ^ | April 8 | Todd Starnes

There will not be a Kentucky Derby party at Dartmouth College this year because some students allege that one of the nation’s most prestigious horse races is racist.

And fair warning – before reading further you might want to make a batch of Mint Juleps. You’re going to need it.

Back in 2015, a group of Black Lives Matter protestors targeted an exclusive Kentucky Derby party hosted by the ladies of Kappa Delta Epsilon – calling the event overtly racist and “recreating an Antebellum South atmosphere on the Ivy League campus.”

The protestors accused the party of being a “bastion of racism, exclusion and oppression.” They chanted, “What is Derby? It’s the face of genocide” and “What is Derby? It’s the face of police brutality.”

I searched The New York Times archives and could find no evidence of police brutality at the Derby – nor could I find any evidence of ethnic cleansings.

I can only imagine the angst and soul searching among the fragile Ivy League snowflakes as they contemplated the grave offense they had caused to the perpetually-offended, hashtag protesters.

I can’t wait until they find taking our tax dollars is offensive. They shouldn’t stoop to dirtying their hands with it.

LOL, witty, and spicy without being uncomfortably dirty.

This is interesting:

“Charles L. Blockson, Curator Emeritus of the Afro-American Collection at Temple University in Philadelphia and author of Hippocrene Guide to the Underground Railroad, claims that the figures were used in the days of the Underground Railroad to guide escaping slaves to freedom: “Green ribbons were tied to the arms of the statue to indicate safety; red ribbons meant to keep going ... People who don’t know the history of the jockey have feelings of humiliation and anger when they see the statue...” Blockson has installed an example of the statue at the entrance to the University’s Sullivan Hall. Patterns of and markings on the clothing of the statues also are said to have indicated messages understood by fleeing slaves.”

What is abundantly clear to anyone paying attention is that Liberals are creating a society that is every bit as oppressive as that under Stalin and Mao. In all seriousness the Left is not far removed from creating another killing fieds. I sincerely believe they are only being restrained for a short while longer and will not hesitate to begin the killings under the right circumstances.

Tried a mint julep. It was offensive.

Apparently mint juleps do bizarre things to women's hats.

Kappa Delta Epsilon?

Those sorority girls took advantage of me! One of them would have her way with me and then just pass me off to the next girl. It was so degrading!

and fun

And minorities wonder why whites are segregating themselves more and more. Anybody who’s lived in South America or Mexico knows what I’m talking about too. Whites down there live in gated communities.

You never hear about whites moving into diverse neighborhoods (unless they’re flaming brain-diseased libs).
It’s always the opposite.

I keep moving further and further away from the city to be at a minimum semi crime-free and away from these racist @$$es.

As you say, once everything and everybody is declared racist, who gives a damn anymore.

Many blacks believe that "race affects everything in America." They seriously believe that every action done in the U.S. somehow takes race into account.

The last time I heard that phrase uttered was by black sportswriter Michael Wilbon on an ESPN show, Pardon The Interruption. It beggars belief that every single thing that happens in this country (gardening, fishing, shopping, eating, etc.) takes race into account. But that is what those morons believe.

Damn! I’m laying in supplies for a Cinco de Mayo celebration. Does that make me racist?
When will we stand up and not cede any more moral authority to these clowns?

The Kentucky Detby is a macro-agression against all inferior women because of the number of stunning, gorgeous, blondes in outrages hats that they can’t afford.

The rest of any story that starts like this should continue:

Not long after, this BS stopped.
