Giuliani endorses candidate for President after THIS comment by Ted Cruz

Great news for Donald Trump!

Former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani told the New York Post that he will be voting for Donald Trump in the April 19th New York primary.

“I support Trump. I’m gonna vote for Trump,” Giuliani told the Post Thursday.

PJ Media goes on to report why he’s supporting Trump… it had something to do with that comment by Ted Cruz.

Rudy said Cruz’s remarks about “New York values” to score political points did not sit well with the mayor. “It’s New York City. We’re family. I can make fun of New York. But you can’t!” he said.

“I know he was attacking liberal Democratic values. … I know. I fought to change those policies in areas like welfare reform and policing, as did Mike Bloomberg. … There was a better way to say it.”

Giuliani says he doesn’t agree with all of Trump’s positions but likes his focus on immigration, security, and the economy.

If you don’t remember that “New York values” comment, click HERE and enjoy! Giuliani is a true American. And I’m very proud to say he exemplifies the soul of New York.

We won’t be pushed around. If we get knocked down we ALWAYS get back up. And if we go go down. We go down swinging.  (Now for those of you who want to say I’m advocating violence… Stop already! These are metaphors. Not to be taken literally!)

I, for one, am thrilled to hear this.  I love “America’s mayor” and I can’t wait to see how his endorsement influences those on the fence for Trump.

Every time I see him in Cowboy boots it makes me dislike him more.

The phenomenon of disliking Cruz the more one sees him is so common I'm surprised no one has written about it.

I'm at the level of nausea, dive-for-the-remote, loathing when his creepy voice or face appears. Pure primal disgust.

I’m not even sure they knew what that meant or how it would be applied or what else he would do (jobs, anyone?) for America.

From what I've been told, when Trump was asked about the Constitution, he responded with, "it's an amazing document."

When asked his opinion on the 2nd Amendment, he replied, "it's an amazing amendment."

The difference between New York values and Havana Cuba values is, in New York they pay the prosititute 150 times more than in Havana and the customers are not just politicians or aspiring candidates for the executive unless the prostitute gives a 75 percent cut to the politicos themselves.

And in New York, the Motel 6 has bed bugs, but with Havana values the Motel 6 in DC has bed bugs, too, but no hand towels.

New York values may suck, but DC values are right out of Havana and suck more. But at least they actually build things in NY, unlike DC where they only spend but build nothing.

Actually, the term I should have used was “Human values”. Emergency responders each play a unique role in our society and that is on display in emergency situations of varying proportions well beyond the borders of New York all across the country, every day. Does a team of firefighters who rush in to a burning structure and die in the ensuing building collapse, say in... in Missouri? Did they possess “New York values”? Or does the fire department who mourns their loss and rebuilds to honor their memories and continue to serve their locality? Do they have “New York values”? I will answer for you. The answer is no. The first responders in New York are every bit as special as the first responders all over the country and they all possess (and wear on their sleeves) the “human value” of life.

But again, you are blatantly avoiding the actual premise of the New York values comment. It had nothing to do with “citizens coming together in storms of trouble.” and everything to do with politically leftist voting history. Again, you choose to lie to prop up a candidate who is taking on some serious water and each day, listing further and further to the left.

The anger in the state is volcanic. I don't think Cruz has any idea.

If NY is so great a state, then why have so many left the state. It's been a problem for us in Texas, all the immigrants from other states. Down here in North Texas, the minute a major highway project is completed, it's obsolete the next.

Like clockwork, the legal population of the Metroplex increases by 100K+ every year.

In the end, it doesn’t matter what Cruz meant. He stupidly made that remark and he’s paying for it, ok?

Just as Mr. Trump outlined his pro-life stance(s), with all of its variants.

Well, they are amazing documents.

Personally, I like Trump’s terse manner of speaking compared to the bloviating Kasich and the natteringly nasal Cruz. I wish we could elect mutes to higher office.

I wish we could elect mutes to higher office.

I could agree with that. However, I would refer to Mr. Trump's manner of speaking as "bombastic" and/or "immature", rather than "terse."

But that's just me. ;)

Perhaps they admire someone who is not afraid to take his medicine, absorb the blows, and still get a couple of shots in while he is there. Taking his beating like a man, unafraid and undaunted.

Unlike the “native” New Yorker who cowers in the corner of his Ivory tower from “strong” women like Me-Gun Kelly.

Ted walked right into the fire and returned some of his own.

Donny the Democrat Donor is huddled with the underbelly of the GOPe plotting like a good liberal New York hack.

Jedi.

Cruz is the only conservative in the race. But I see Trump as the only candidate who might get stuff done. Like build a wall and kick out and prevent more Muslims But I fear Trump will forget what he said about guns and abortion once he’s elected. He has NY liberal tendencies and also some conservative tendencies but I don’t believe he is as progun and prolife as he makes out to be.

“Trump will forget what he said about guns and abortion once he’s elected.”

Except that he’s been packin’ heat for decades. I don’t think he hates guns. Abortion... Reagan changed his mind on that. Can’t Trump?

A some one state over who is in New York at least 1~2 days a month, I do not think the Cruz statement on New York values is what has made folks go Trump.

It is the economy.

PA, New Jersey, New York and Connecticut are all old time industrial states, where a lot of blue collar folks were able to lead decent lives and whose kids would have a decent chance at life.

But in the last 20 years most of these manufacturing has got up and gone. What is left is the high tech but even that is starting to be outsourced to Asia. Leaving the folks who are not connected to government with very little possibility of a good life or even if they are set, not much opportunity exists for their kids.

The Democrat parties up here are the parties of state unions, corrupt unions dependent on government contracts, welfare bums and other parasites that live off the government teat. The free economy working middle class do not like them, but they at least offer something to folks with nothing.

The republican parties up here, as exemplified by Cruz/Ryan/Jeb/ are made up of folks who seem to be owned by large financial firms. They seem to not give a damm about the middle class. Cruz said he wants to move social security to 70. really. how any folks in the manual trades can work to 70,? perhaps 15 percent. He simply has a tin ear to folks who do not come from his background.

Trump has his finger on three things that matter to Northeasterners, at least those I know:

1) Stop making it impossible for folks to make a living by importing labor in whatever class of labor is needed (both legal and illegal). The old time republican party supports this (recall ted wanted to 5x the number of H1B visas), Trump does not.

2) Stop exporting manufacturing and value added jobs where folks can make a decent living.

3) Actually give a crap about the Vets who responded to the call of their nation. Believe it or not the Northeast has a lot of old time working families that are very patriotic and it has been noted 1 of trumps 6 major Planks is to fix the VA mess. Folks notice that and think he actually cares.

Now in other parts of the nation Cruz may play well, and he does here with some folks, no doubt of that. He has a corps of folks here who really like him. But on those three issues Cruz is distinctly less aligned with the needs of the working classes, both blue collar and professional, than trump. That is why trump is winning, folks are not so foolish to get all upset about a silly one liner.

That is how one person who lives in the are sees it.
