Interesting, but no, I’ve heard nothing about that.
I agree Trump will get the 1237 by convention time and Paul Manafort will make sure Trump has more than enough delegates to win on the first ballot.
No, Cruz is running as the GOPe standard bearer.
Pure and simple, that’s it.
The gope has no power, if Trump and Cruz control the rules committee . they can even get rid of ryan as the chair.

This is true if Trump and Cruz do in fact control the Rules Committee.
But do we have a good feeling yet that Trump + Cruz will actually have the majority of the delegates on their side?
It is in their mutual interest above all else to cooperate on insuring that only two nominations will be made and Kasich won’t be one of them. Or Paul Ryan. On other issues there will probably be some differences.
This should be a slam dunk, goodbye John Kasich. But I wonder.
I get what you’re saying. If it’s all fair game, then so be it. Having said that, I still think it’s a very strange system.
Trump might be willing to embrace Cruz as running mate, with the NBC situation under sufficient control... however how does Lyin’ Ted turn into Lion Ted? How does Trump work that kind of rehab in the face of the acid criticism he’s been dishing out? That might be de rigueur talk for the WWE and it’s even kind of funny, for a while. But there has to be an exit strategy, and the electorate isn’t entirely the rednecks that watch WWE.
Can you cite an example of a “subjective malleable” rule that Cruz has exploited? Thanks.
Trump has run a shoe-string campaign. He's probably spent less than $10 million of his own money so far. That's peanuts.
Trump will get his ‘1,237’ by convention time.
And over the next 6 state contests Cruz is very likely to lose them all, and the pool of the remaining delegates will be much much smaller.
Worse than that. Two state polls today had Cruz in 3RD PLACE. So he can’t beat no money Kasich but he is going to beat Hillary/Warren in the general? Preposterous.

I admit I don’t know all the ins and outs of the system, but I gotta say, as an outside, it seems pretty weird to me that someone can win delegates only to have them stolen.

And, I would add, there are those who claim this is perfectly OK. One of the most serious problems in the country right now is that people make up the rules as they go along and don’t see anything wrong with it, proof this country is no longer a country of laws. One amazing example: We now have two so called Constitutional lawyers who have redefined “natural born citizen” to serve their own self-interests. One having already been elected under this fraud and the other aspiring to do so. Worse yet, there are hoards of ignorant citizens, those who remain confused as hell on the issue, and many others who don’t give a damn - people of all walks of life ignoring the supreme law of the land by one means or another. So, stealing delegates, phooey, no big deal to a lot of people. Disenfranchising the voter is the politicians dream come true, that is if it serves their end game.

We in the Northeast get to vote soon. Let’s see the numbers after then.
What happened in Tennessee is quietly or openly happening in other states with delegates. No single candidate can fight the establishment at large in every state with every delegate. CRuz is only having such success because the GOPe is putting their regulars in to stop Trump.
What I can not understand is how Cruz supporters do not see how the GOPe is coop ting the anti-GOPe effort.
Cruz will probably control 70 of the 112 delegates.
Trump should throw in his delegates, but he likely wont.

At this time. I see Trump at about 1230 to 1250.
Cruz? He aint got a chance. He will be eliminated at the NY Primary.
If he loses by 50 in NY, he is done. Earlier, I thought it was simply 35 or so, I was wrong.
D1, the GOP is screwed, has been since probably forever, at least since Goldwater.
Unfortunately we are still stuck with them.
I believe Trump will eviscerate it, I also believe Cruz will do MUCH Damage to it, if either is Elected.
My point, as I have argued before with Tea partiers, The organization is there, lets just take it over, no need for 3rd party perot crap.
I would think we all agree on that. I am against Trump, but if he gets the delegates he needs for a majority before the convention, then he is the winner. No question about it.
