Roger Stone Warns After Wisconsin Loss: Donald Trump’s Campaign Has No Infrastructure in The States

Veteran political strategist and informal adviser for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump Roger Stone warns on Breitbart News Daily that the loss in Wisconsin should be a “wakeup call” for the Trump campaign, which he says should invest in campaign infrastructure to sew up the party’s nomination.

“It’s an early wakeup call, as it were, for the Trump campaign,” Stone, who predicted earlier that Trump would lose Wisconsin, tells Stephen K. Bannon.

Trump’s campaign has been fueled, from the beginning, with these hot button issues and an extraordinary communications-based strategy, where you utilize these huge rallies, the incredible media coverage they have generated, plus the high-profile debates, plus — give Trump credit — any interview he could do, as many interviews as he could do to reach as many voters he can reach. And that has worked. Up until now.

“The campaign has no infrastructure in the states,” he continued.

The woman who ran Wisconsin for Trump previously ran Oklahoma for Trump. Trump lost. Prior to that, she had never run any political campaign, so there was no depth of experience. This is something I see again and again, particularly at the ground roots level. Now, I salute these people for their enthusiasm, but this is a science. This is not something we guess about. And now you move to a serious of states like Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona [which] should be watched very carefully. And those become hand-to-hand combat at state conventions or state committee meetings, where once again the Trump people have built no infrastructure.

Stone added that Trump’s current predicament reminds him of Ronald Reagan’s failed 1976 run.

Good, steal the election. See where that gets you in November.
***************************************

It gets us winning the election, because most of the polls show Cruz beating Clinton.

All those Trump supporters that say they will never vote for Cruz, don’t seem to show up in the head to head match.

However, the never Trump people seem to show up big time in the head to head match between Trump and Clinton.

Florida requires their delegates to vote for Trump 3 times first.
Cruz may need those 99 to win but he will have to wait for the fourth vote.

Trump is doing as well as anyone could do.

No, he isn't. That's the whole problem. There are some positions he takes, such as on immigration, trade policy, etc., that are going to make some people angry. Too bad -- you can't let that take you off course.

But he has also said/done some things that have alienated some voters needlessly. He'd be doing better if he stayed away from that stuff, and began trying to give out a more "unify the party" positive message.

Meanwhile,

"Judging by Donald J. Trump’s personal campaign donations in New York state, Republicans and conservatives should expect to have his support about 40 percent of the time. And Democrats should look forward to having Trump in their corner about 58 percent of the time."

Most polls don’t show that, sorry.

RCP Average shows 6 points in Clinton’s favor against Cruz

But it don’t matter

If Cruz splits the republican party at the convention he isn’t going to win, many voters are going to walk and most already have anyways

People are sick of this

You can have your stupid party

I and many others are done with it, the voters don’t matter and never will. But if I have 1 million to give to the JEB superPAC then I am king of the world

Trump should have had the American citizens funding his candidacy all along. If he self funds who is he going to represent?

“Who said, “He’s a liar.” about McConnell”

Despite how many times it is repeated, this isn’t the single most brave act in the history of congress. It is such a minor event that it borders on absurd when it is bragged about.

Seeing that Mitch is now funneling money to Cruz, this can finally be retired.

And yes he is now firmly part of the Gope. He can put on his little act for his sycophants and true believers, but only an willing idiot doesn’t see that he is now working for them.

Mr. Stone: My support for Trump is stronger than ever. I don’t like my candidate being attacked.

Big surprise. You were done with it the second you started voting for a New York liberal.

“It gets us winning the election, because most of the polls show Cruz beating Clinton.”

What is the name of this planet where the leftist media magically does not exist again?

Or do you seriously cling to a poll for something 8 months into the future as an indicator of anything?

However, the never Trump people seem to show up big time in the head to head match between Trump and Clinton. ............................ add to that the bulk of the independents, who will really decide the outcome, you can’t win without them. I feel Trump has greater support among them than Cruz or Clinton. Many Independents switched party affiliation to vote for Trump in the primary, you can count on them. They’re fed up with the 2 parties that never change anything.

You mean Ted Cruz? That liberal?

Because I am not voting for any liberal or conservative, I am voting for someone that actually cares about this country.

And how does one “start voting” anyways? In New Jersey it is pretty simple, you show up, tell them your name, sign the book and vote. The process, maybe 10 minutes tops.

Trump’s act has gotten old. People are seeing that he is a blowhard; and has gotten away with very superficial explanations of how to solve problems.

“He should accept money for his campaign. A lot.”

He is. That whole story about funding his own campaign is just a line for the rubes. He takes any donations he can get.

So the long and short of this is Trump has an incompetently run presidential campaign. The excuse is, this is the first time he’s done something like this. So why would we believe his presidential team wouldn’t be equally incompetent since it would be his first time doing that.

Ahh, doesn’t matter I suppose. Trump will never be President anyway.
