In two weeks I shall proudly cast my vote for Ted Cruz. Who would’ve thought my late state of Maryland might actually play a role in this race? Haha
I have no delusions actually. If anything Maryland will probably go to Trump (or maybe Kasich). I know that.
I’m just happy and grateful for the opportunity to actually be able to cast my vote for someone who is still in the race, and has been my first pick all along. Last time I could still vote for Cain, but it was only because his name was still on the ballot. He had already dropped out by the time MD voted.
Go Cruz! I’m sticking with him until the bitter end (which is if/when Trump gains 1237 delegates, whenever that is. Then I’ll be supporting Trump, but not before)
Stunning blow? Trump is still up many states and is on to a block of states he should do well in. If Cruz beats Trump in those states like New York, then I will agree. Wisconsin, though, nope.
Trump only needs between 39 and 49 more delegates, and Cruz will be mathematically eliminated from attaining 1237 delegates.
Thus he’ll join Bush, Rubio, Kasich, and the rest of the pack as being eliminated from obtaining the delegates due to the direct vote of the Republican populace.
Trump will accomplish this in two weeks.
Ted is dead in the water.
The only hope Cruz now has is to claim that he, having received far few electoral victories and at least 1/3rd less delegates than Trump, deserves all the other delegates.
If Trump doesn’t deserve them for coming close to winning the 1237, why does Ted deserve them?
The will of the voters should enter into this.
I can’t believe how many FReepers on the forum are calling for a nullifying of the vote.
.
Even as the vote tally was coming up on screen, the MSM talking heads continued to push Trump, promising he would “win Big.”
LOL!
Up yours MSM!
.
it wasn’t stunning at all. it was expected by everyone
it wasn’t stunning at all. it was expected by everyone
Then voter nullification of the largest voting block becomes Ted' only route to the nomination.
Voter nullification... Ted Cruz, little man on campus.
Not nearly as stunning as Ted losing the entire south.
I’m just “stuned in the beeber” area.
What is stunning is Teb is running only to try and prevent Trump from getting 1237 delegates so Ryan or Romney can have the Rino nomination. Thus guaranteeing Hillary or Sanders being the next president. Teb the Democrat champion.
Was it a stunning blow to Cruz when Trump won New Hampshire and South Carolina?
It’s fun to watch but neither will be the nominee. If it ends up Cruz gets it then I’ll know Cruz was a fraud all along and he won’t get my vote. Not that he needs it.
Ah yes, the bullcorn begins. I think Cruz will see just how much the race was ‘reset’ when he faces Trump in NY. Cruz is a hardliner and will likely be massacred there.
Here is a possibility... Trump misses the amount by like 10 delegates to win outright.
In a contested convention, Ryan or Romney get chosen. Then Trump runs as an independent and draws enough votes away from the Republican nominee that Clinton or Sanders win.
Then we have 4 or possibly 8 years of Clinton or Sanders. Process how more powerful China will be by 2024, and how much more of a hold Islam will have over Europe. Consider Iran will most likely obtain nukes during that period.
Then consider the possibility of Supreme Court appointments, such that Liberals outnumber conservatives on the court 6-3.
“Stunning blow”. Who writes these laughably-hyperbolic headlines?
Including the fraudulent machines that wouldn’t let people vote for Trump?
Let’s just see how much of a blow it is after New York and a couple of more states.
Trump support in FR poll is around the lowest its ever been.
I’m pretty sure Cruz supporters will continue to talk about their big Wisconsin win well into 2018...
