>> His initial answer was the correct answer <<

So he double-crossed you by withdrawing that initial answer?

Or are the initial answer and the subsequent variations all equally valid?

How about these dots:

Delegates since Iowa: Trump gets 47%
Delegates since Carson Dropped Out: Trump gets 47%
Delegates since Rubio Dropped Out: Trump gets 43%

As more people are dropping out, the trend is moving against Trump, not for him. Trump has lost three in a row, and four of the last five.

And as far as New York in concerned, I would not be counting any chickens if I were Trump. New York is very familiar with The Donald. It remains to be seen if this works against him or for him.

“always tell a man by his enemies , his friends and in politics those who back him.”

Yep.

Roger Stone, Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee back Trump.

Not to mention such friend backers as Dennis Rodman, Howard Stern and so many other Salt of the Earth folk.

I’ve worn it for extended periods. Its a heavy vest for the type he would wear. Maybe 6 lbs extra.

The type our troops use is heavier and more bulky.

The only demographic Trump won last night was moderates/liberals! That’s the guy so many here on FR are supporting over the proven conservative!

Ted gets it right and is quoted in the article:

“We are winning because we are uniting the Republican party,” Mr. Cruz said.

Ted is the best thing to happen to the Republican party since...Romney? McCain? Dole?

Ted, the Great Uniter!

In two weeks I shall proudly cast my vote for Ted Cruz. Who would’ve thought my late state of Maryland might actually play a role in this race? Haha

I have no delusions actually. If anything Maryland will probably go to Trump (or maybe Kasich). I know that.

I’m just happy and grateful for the opportunity to actually be able to cast my vote for someone who is still in the race, and has been my first pick all along. Last time I could still vote for Cain, but it was only because his name was still on the ballot. He had already dropped out by the time MD voted.

Go Cruz! I’m sticking with him until the bitter end (which is if/when Trump gains 1237 delegates, whenever that is. Then I’ll be supporting Trump, but not before)

Well you can joke about it all you want. I’m sure its easier to deny the truth then accept that he made such a ham handed announcement

Do a google for yourself, you’ll find dozens of reputable sources using Trumps Twitter post.

Stunning blow? Trump is still up many states and is on to a block of states he should do well in. If Cruz beats Trump in those states like New York, then I will agree. Wisconsin, though, nope.

I honestly want to hear from Cruz supporters which states they think Cruz can win over what Romney did. I see Trump with a chance to win new York, Florida, Virginia and Pennsylvania in the general.

They never answer that question. In their hearts they know Cruz is a sure loser in the general.

Also, Kasich has not won a single delegate since Ohio. Why is he still here?

“Go talk to the Trump campaign and their graciously butthurt sore loser attitude to losing Wisconsin.”

No reason to use that term.

Makes you sound like a Trump supporter.

Oh my bad. Didn’t mean to upset your fragile sensibilities. I’ll keep that in mind in the future.

Trump only needs between 39 and 49 more delegates, and Cruz will be mathematically eliminated from attaining 1237 delegates.

Thus he’ll join Bush, Rubio, Kasich, and the rest of the pack as being eliminated from obtaining the delegates due to the direct vote of the Republican populace.

Trump will accomplish this in two weeks.

Ted is dead in the water.

The only hope Cruz now has is to claim that he, having received far few electoral victories and at least 1/3rd less delegates than Trump, deserves all the other delegates.

If Trump doesn’t deserve them for coming close to winning the 1237, why does Ted deserve them?

The will of the voters should enter into this.

I can’t believe how many FReepers on the forum are calling for a nullifying of the vote.

Nothing to do with fragile sensibilities.

It was a friendly piece of advice.

It makes you sound like a classless loser.

If you want to present yourself to the world in that manner, it’s up to you.

769 delegates remaining to be chosen
479 Trump needs to win
732 Cruz needs to win.

I guess the real question may become where will the delegates that were
won by the other candidates come down after the first round of balloting?

I don’t know how the Cruz folk will spin those numbers. If that was Cruz, we would never hear the end of it.
