You are so right.

I’m sorry to say it but he is simply not a Gentleman.

The worse news for Trump is that he has again very seriously under-performed his poll numbers. Translation from many voters; “Yes, I’m angry with DC and government in general, and that is reflected in the polls, but at the ballot box, they can’t bring themselves to support such a loose cannon.

I could easily support Trump or Cruz’ POLICIES, but this is very bad news for The Donald who needs 1237 on the first ballot, or he is finished.

Who will win? Who knows? But The Donald’s mouth (and Tweets) is about to steal the nomination from him

Did you hear Cruz’s victory speech wasn’t a bunch of DC Elite talking points, “Turning Point”- “Rallying Cry” just like the scripted lawyer/politician/bureaucrat, that he is. /s not/

“Except for 2 very recent pools (ARG & one other) showing Trump winning by 10%+”

They were only off by 25% or so./sarc

Look at the effort it took for Cruz to win that state even though he was favored.

Wisconsin gave us Paul Ryan. Wisconsin Republicans are mostly GOPe. Wisconsin is part of the problem. That is all this “great victory” which actually wasn’t so great says.

About as relevant as the Battle of the Bulge would be towards Germany winning WWII.

Perhaps it will be about as relevant as the Battle of Belleau Wood was towards Germany winning WWI.

Yeah, Trump didn’t even bother with a ‘speech’ did he.

Seems like he’s been keeping a lower profile. I wonder if the pace was getting to him. I hope his health is ok.

It’s the propaganda thrust of the establishment this week to try to derail Trump.

As opposed to the daily Trump rally threads posted as breaking news? Can't remember a candidate's travel schedule being posted daily in previous cycles - would think there might be some over-compensation in play.

Further, it is amusing that the Trump supporters focus on the "establishment" meme. Liberal RINO Christie is a member of that group, but no one the Trump side whipped out the establishment epithet when he endorsed their favorite candidate.

And, reporting on the likely New York and California primary results, like the old joke about a two-man race (Kasich has not earned "contender" status) the headline will read:

Cruz Wins Second Place! -- Trump Finishes Next To Last!

When Cruz is mathematically eliminated in two weeks will that be a stunning blow as well?

If you want to talk math, the goal here is not for Cruz to get 1237, but to prevent Trump from getting 1237. That's the math that counts. After that, it's the second ballot that counts.

Side note - isn't this mathematical response an example of "Cruz can't win, give up" propaganda? But why expect consistency from Trump supporters - too late to start that now!

Did you see the gracious way the Trump campaign congratulated Cruz? /s

I did. I was surprised, very surprised. I really expected Trump to take it like a man, look a bit more Presidential, prepare the public for his upcoming policy discussions and say something nice to the people of Wisconsin who he will need in November if the miracle happens and he wins the GOP nomination.

For those who didn't catch the Trump post-Wisconsin News Release here it is in all it's pathetic glory:

Donald J. Trump withstood the onslaught of the establishment yet again. Lyin’ Ted Cruz had the Governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts, and the entire party apparatus behind him. Not only was he propelled by the anti-Trump Super PAC’s spending countless millions of dollars on false advertising against Mr. Trump, but he was coordinating `with his own Super PAC’s (which is illegal) who totally control him. Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet— he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump. We have total confidence that Mr. Trump will go on to win in New York, where he holds a substantial lead in all the polls, and beyond. Mr. Trump is the only candidate who can secure the delegates needed to win the Republican nomination and ultimately defeat Hillary Clinton, or whomever is the Democratic nominee, in order to Make America Great Again.

Not possible, Trump can’t lose.

He said so, so it must be true.

>> He won 44 delegates or so <<

Yes indeed, that would be “stunning” to the nth power, seeing as how West Consin only has forty-two delegates.

Thanks for keeping it classy chief. Our country is going is going in the crapper and you want so badly to live vicariously through a politician. A win for them is a win for you...sad.

It wasn’t meant to be a partisan comment. It was meant to explain what their strategy is following Cruz’s victory in Wisconsin.

The intent is to make it seem somehow far more important than the many more victories of Donald Trump.

“Narrative” is not a bad strategy. As a counselor, I’m aware of ‘narrative therapy’ and know it to be a powerful tool.

The problem in counseling is getting a couple to buy into the new narrative. I suspect the same concern impacts new political narratives.

Wisconsin was always favoring Cruz, just like New York favors Trump.

Not really. Until March, Trump had led in all the head-to-head matchups in WI vs. Cruz.
