Cruz cozies up to D.C. establishment
Politico ^ | 4/6/2016 | Katie Gluiek

He's disparaged his own Republican leader as a liar and dismissed fellow senators as part of the "Washington cartel." But now, with his presidential prospects hanging in the balance, Ted Cruz is moving closer than ever to the D.C. establishment. Directly and through surrogates, the Texas senator is aggressively reaching out to his Senate colleagues as he prepares for the possibility of a convention floor fight against Donald Trump. And Cruz’s emissaries on Capitol Hill are now signaling to senior Republicans that Cruz would be willing to work with them as the GOP nominee in a way Trump would not.

The purpose of the modern GOP is to cash lobbyist and donor checks.

The Democrats are the welfare party

The GOP is the corporate welfare party.

They are choosing from their perspective the lesser of two evils. Well it’s about time that they have to make that choice. We have endured that same choice for far to long.

As grassroots we need to use every one of their resources, again because that is what they have done for many years to us.

Not me. I don’t get my sources from Politico.

Gramm is working for politico now? Nonsense. He is Cruz’s hand picked advisor. Gramm says Cruz “totally agree with him on the issues”. Is McConnell now anti-Establishment too? LOL.

Since it didn’t stick the first time let me try again:

“When this is over, we need to be together on a set of issues we agree on,” Gramm said, characterizing the message he relayed to McConnell and others in Senate leadership. “The good news is, while people may have had conflicts with Ted, our basic leadership totally agrees with him on the issues. It’s a huge difference with Trump, but basically we’re all together.”

I would LOVE to think that is the case...but with Ted being financed by the same group’s he claims to despise and McConnell now funding Ted through a pac...I find it hard to believe Ted will be able to tell the lenders who now have a piece of him to take a hike....if he ever got in....also he has many skeletons .....Trump has stated many times he is doing this because of his indebtedness to our great republic and he doesn’t want it to be sold to the highest bidder.

RE:”I guess we’re seeing ‘the art of the deal’...bitch, moan, slander, lie, threaten... whatever it takes to win and to make yourself feel like a big strong man with large hands!”

Trump's been doing this for a while.
But this is the worst he has behaved so far after a primary loss.
He went all out to win this one, kept saying it would be a big win for him, telling WI primary voters he was counting on them..

One story/rumor out of the Trump team the media has been repeating.
That Trump's advisors told him to calm down and act more presidential after the last two week disaster, and Trump told them that it was his antics that got him so far in this race, and he wasnt stopping now.

In fact he joked about this on stage at a WI rally, that his acting ‘unpresidential’ will beat Cruz and then Hillary.

But apparently it didnt work in WI,.

Another Trump rule : Dem crossovers in open primaries are great when Trump wins them, but terrible when he loses them.

And if he gets the nod he still won’t get anything done that will help save this republic..it will be the same as it is now.

Gee. If Phil Gramm says something about Cruz then I guess we just have to totally ignore his record, his position on the issues and abandon any support for him. A powerful voice Phil Gramm. The fact that he works for Politico speaks volumes to me.

You can take Polico as your source if you like. Not me.

Spot on!

Cruz has fought every battle that we all wanted at every turn, often without any support from “colleagues”. Now they are coming to him and this is bad?

We need a real chief executive who understands the office, the legislature, and the judiciary, and most important, the bureaucracy, to make this country great again.

There is only one running, Cruz.

Yes, it is. And it is what will win, now and in November. Remember it isn’t Cruz who has folded, it’s the ‘establishment’ bowing to the inevitable.

LOL. Cruz isn’t wining anything in November. That much I am certain of. Bought and paid for career politician Ted Cruz has the same donors as the rest of the GOPe. So naturally they forgive Cruz’s no hoper beltway kabuki theater performances and cozy up to him. Cruz’s hand picked adviser Gramm says unequivocally: Cruz and GOPe agree on the issues. And you’re fine with that to.

Trump was robbed... ROBBED!!!... in Ohio because Kasich got crossover votes.

But Trump crossover votes are indicators of broad based appeal, Trump is expanding the Party, and he will win in November.

Because what Democrats really want it to make sure there is a Republican who can beat them in November!

“now signaling to senior Republicans that Cruz would be willing to work with them as the GOP nominee in a way Trump would not.”

Principled? STOP CRUZ!

“... spoken with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Whip John Cornyn (R-Texas), as well as House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and Rep. Jeb (R-Texas)”

John “I have evolved” Cornyn who on the DHS spending bill, both Cornyn and McConnell stated they “have no intention of using the funding of DHS” to stop Obama’s amnesty, because Cornyn already said he thinks Americans just wants Congress AND THE ENTIRE ESTABLISHMENT PARTY APPARATUS to work with Obama to show they “get something done”. McConnell, Ryan, that is the Party apparatus. “America is a nation of immigrants”, Jeb Hensarling said on the 2014 Boehner discussion on “immigration reform”, “... we should strive to find places for people who come here legally, seeking freedom and opportunity; people who want to roll up their sleeves and work to be economic assets”

What we have here is the PARTY APPARATUS and these politicians the anti-establishment base insurgency MAJORITY of voting base Republicans who have had enough and have rejected politicians who have forged long careers in Congress either lying to their constituents or offering lousy policy advice as the never ending spigot of illegal and criminal aliens continues unabated. Now Cruz is in happy hugs with this APPARATUS, and some call Cruz “principled”?

Principled? STOP CRUZ!

He wants a GOPe brokered convention to disenfranchise our majorjty votes. Principled? STOP CRUZ!

Here is what you are going to hear about from this same aparatus and the Cruz thing - more about promises of “less taxes” and less and less about “illegal aliens”. Political promises about “abolishing the IRS” which Cruz wiill never do - nor can he as President - and less and less about illegal aliens. More promises from the political apparatus that they only use to get votes, then they will do nothing. Except tell us we are a nation of immigrants (and cheap labor) then give us amnrsty.

STOP CRUZ! STOP THE APPARATUS OF PROMISES NEVER KEPT!

To: GOPe Means Bend Over Spell Run

Cruz has always been the GOPe conservative staking horse for Yebbie. Too bad for the GOPe and fraud Cruz that Trump entered the race and screwed their elitist plantation plans for the conservative base. Sad to see Cruzers falling for the fraud.

Yep. Divide and conquer conservatives. Oldest play in the GOPe playbook. And career politician Havard boy Ted Cruz is a willing participant in the scam.

All the candidates collect government paychecks, government benefits, and government donor goodies.

Except Trump!

That basically summarizes it all.

The Media this morning is already salivating over the “moderate” Paul Ryan to be the nominee in a “brokered” convention over the “un-electable” Ted Cruz or the “fading” Donald Trump.

Cruz is a tool.

The thing is, Trump would be equally fine with losing, he will go back to making $, living his glamorous life; and he was fine with Hillary before, he will be fine with her as president.

If Trump loses, the country is lost forever..
