The Fresh Market this week joined a handful of other grocers in asking its customers not to bring guns or other weapons into its stores.

Yeah, whatever. Concealed means it’s remains concealed unless necessary.
I feel safe when the guy next to me is demonstrating open carry.
“F any store or chain”
Don’t get mad. They “asked’, right? ;) It’s not like they’re ordering you to..XD
Another one of those high cost yuppie chains that don’t want their customers to have to deal with the common people. No real danger of me shopping there, anyway.
I will happily comply, of course..... or not.
They post armed guards everywhere, sure. Otherwise take care of my protection myself by either packing or not going there.
Screw ‘em.
I feels safer when I know I have my own weapon, don’t trust the other guy...ever.
Reminds me of the Crustwood Market in the “Dinette Set” cartoon, with its signs of “Thank your for not shoplifting.”
Exactly. The worst they can do, legally, is ask me to leave the premises. But they have no idea I am carrying.
We don’t have this as a big issue here in CA. Probably because there are so few CCWr’s, that store owners don’t give it a thought.
In NC, Publix has gone on a Jihad against Fresh Market by opening new stores next door, across the street or as close as possible. When there’s no Fresh Market around Publix locates as close as possible to Whole Foods or whatever premium, flagship grocery store is nearby.
Will carry concealed if necessary.
Never heard of ‘em. Must not be around here.
Lord help the poor employee who asks me to leave.
Do criminals have a website listing businesses and residences that are defenseless?
Never heard of Fresh Market, but most of the decent places down here have all gotten the 30.07 signs up. Central Market, Whole Foods, Sprouts... Sucks cause most of the generic grocery stores don’t have very good fresh meat/veggies. Maybe Kroger.
Of course, the one closest to me that I go to the most (Central Market) has their signs posted in sanded glass on clear glass.. So you could argue that the requirement to have it posted in contrasting colors means the signs have no legal bearing. We’ll find out if they ever do anything about me :p
DING DING DING. We have a winner. Concealed is best
No mention of broadswords?
