Reince Priebus Says Any Candidate That Abandons GOP Pledge Will Get No More Help From RNC

We told you recently about how Donald Trump has abandoned his pledge to the GOP that he will support the nominee no matter who it was.

He claims that the GOP wasn’t fair to him and therefore that justifies him going back on his promise.

It has already been determined that his change of heart could hurt him in the delegate race which promises to be extremely tight as it is.

But now, GOP Chair Reince Priebus has come out and basically dared Trump to back down from the promise.

From Hot Air:

I’ve got the same problem here as I did in the post yesterday about Trump possibly forfeiting his delegates in South Carolina. Namely, what would constitute formal and final repudiation of the pledge sufficient to trigger penalties? If Trump says “I’m done with the pledge” on Monday and then on Tuesday says something squishy like “I suppose I could support Ted as nominee but it’d be tough,” does that qualify as breaking the pledge? Neither he nor Cruz are going to sign something affirming that they’re going back on their word, so you’ll have to tease out their intentions from scattershot verbal statements.

“We’re going into potentially — we don’t know for sure — but potentially an open convention. So the candidates, I think, are going to posture a little bit as far as what they are willing to do and who they’re willing to support and who they’re not,” [Reince Priebus] told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren…

Does “any candidate” include Kasich and Cruz or only Trump. Didn’t Cruz say he won’t support Trump?

Your graphic is way behind the times. Trump now has 7.39 million followers on Twitter, very close to FOUR TIMES the circulation of the New York Times.

Not true.

The GOP does care about winning.

That is what they will take Hillary over Trump.

The RNC has lost me. I have not sent back one thing this year. Priebus is an idiot. He, Ryan and Walker are all in thick as hell. They are liars big time.

For future runs. Whether they be for the Senate, House, or POTUS.

So Cruz would get no more support from the gop? That would be huge!

The GOP may think they will win with Hillary as President,

But the ballot down GOP candidates will get slaughtered.

The good, the bad and the ugly will be thrown out.

Most importantly, the RNC knows that Trump will beat either Hillary or Bernie. The ultimate destruction of the Republican establishment in Washington. The RNC knows that if Hil or Bernie wins, Republicans preserve all of their niches of power and MONEY, so they are fine with losing as in previous presidential election years. So should Cruz or Romney or Bush or Ryan WIN the presidency or LOSE the presidency, the RNC is fine with any one of them as the nominee. EITHER WAY the Republican Elite win.

But TRUMP---as nominee, assures the end of the Washington Political Oligarchy as we know it. It changes the world for every entrenched bureaucrat, professional politician, lobbyist, the Donor Class, MSM, conservative media, educrats, and the entire Elite Aristocracy we call our government.

THIS explains Reince and the RNC stance.

Why let it die? Because it deserves to die.
That's your opinion.

Reince Priebus? What the hell is a Reince Priebus? It sounds like rinse penis in Latin. Seriously, who is this clown and why should we care what he thinks?

And they should all be thrown out. That is the only thing they will understand. Then in 2016 replace them with candidates from the private sector. No more professional politicians. No lawyers. No Ivy Leaguers. We know exactly what this has gotten us with the Republicans in charge of Congress: Obamacare, massive Syrian, Somalian, muslim trojan horse invasion, wide open borders, massively increased budget and debt, every left-wing wet dream funded. A weak military. Terrorism has a firm foothold on our homeland and will only get stronger here, and strike more frequently. This is while the REPUBLICANS own both houses. One word: Uniparty.

Exactly. This election is about changing politics as usual. It doesn't make one bit of difference if the next president is Hillary or Cruz... either way it's business as usual, which means we continue on this downward path.

Trump is the only one who stands a chance of changing the trajectory of this country. D.C. needs an enema big time, and Trump's positioned to do that. It's a dirty job... and he'll me maligned every step of the way, but he has the guts to do it and stick with it for a while.

GOP not helping is actually a big help! Thanks GOP for helping by not helping!
GOP not helping is why the guy in front is so popular! We would prefer you to not help so we can be assured that the right guy is being nominated! Anyone you help is our enemy! Including the one hit wonder from Ohio and the Bible weidling Canadian from Tejas!

What the GOPe and their boy TPA Teddy forget is that loyalty is a two way street.

Dems easily pick up 6-8 seats if the nom is stolen from Trump. Maybe more. Senate is gone. Poof. WH is gone too. No amount of GOPe guilt tripping is going to bully us into voting Uniparty. That ship sailed at Sea Island, Georgia when the GOPe met in secret with rich Democrats.
