GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump believes education is one the most essential functions of the U.S. government. Its right up there with security and providing health care for the nation, he told a crowd in Wisconsin Tuesday night.
Yet Trump has called for the elimination of the Department of Education, meaning he would destroy the agency responsible for doing what he claims is so important for the country.
On Tuesday, Trump appeared at a CNN town hall in Milwaukee, a week before the states primary election.
An attendee asked what he views as the top three functions of the United States government.
The greatest function of all by far is security for our nation. I would also say health care, I would also say education, Trump replied. There are many many things. But I would say the top three are security, security, security.

Well your sophism here is that Ted Cruz is a solid conservative and not a cardboard cutout politician who will fellate you to the dulcimer tones of him pontificating on Thomas Paine, de tocqueville and Ronald Reagan. I trust Trump over Cruz all day long, Cruz was not even the best conservative out there, Mike Lee, Duncan Hunter or even Tim Scott would have made a much better candidate than creepy Ted

Sometimes you have to tear down a building to build a new one.
One of my hot button issues is the insane cost of college these days. There’s no logical justification for it and it’s putting our children in debt that they won’t be able to recover from for alot of their adult life.

Trump promises to become more serious and informed about government any day now. That may even include reading the Constitution, but he’d probably struggle with anything past the first three words.
