Glenn Beck has been one of Ted Cruz’s most high profile surrogates—but Beck’s support could become a little less desirable when he heads to court this summer for allegedly defaming a victim of the Boston Marathon bombing……
One of Ted Cruz’s most prominent supporters could be headed to court soon to defend his Islamophobic falsehoods about a victim of terrorism.
“…But come this summer, it’s Beck who could face judgement. The radio talker currently faces a defamation lawsuit—because he doubled and tripled down on charges that a victim of a terrorist attack was actually the real terrorist.

Filings also show that we may know as soon as this summer whether or not Beck’s suit will go to trial. A First Amendment case like this one would likely attract breathless media attention—especially since it involves a conspiracy-minded media celeb using explicitly Islamophobic language to go after a student.
And if Cruz is the Republican nominee (not an unthinkable prospect), then one of his top surrogates could give him a rolling PR nightmare. The facts of the case are, well, not that surprising if you know anything about Glenn Beck. In the wake of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing terrorist attack that left six people dead, Beck claimed that one of the victims—Saudi national Abdulrahman Alharbi, who was injured in the attack—was actually in on it.
“You know who the Saudi is?” Beck confidently proclaimed in one broadcast a few weeks after the attacks. “He’s the money man. He’s the guy who paid for it.”

Beck is a good guy. Sometimes his methods are unorthodox, but he is a definite positive to the Cruz Campaign.

Yes, there is a lot of deference between the two. One said if he git close to Trump with a knife he couldn’t stop stabbing him and said Ted sCruz the Bang of 8 is annointed by GOD to save America and Christians need to listen to their GOD and vote for Ted sCruz the Bang of 8 and one didn’t say that.

There was good reason to suspect that guy, and investigate. There wasn’t any information to declare that he was part of it. Stabby should have settled.

This reporter should be sued for the headline “Glenn Beck’s lie...”
Glenn Beck got his information from intel sources who risked their careers to give him that information. He passed it on to the MSM because the story was of such significance that it needed to come from them. And reporters wrote stories on it, based on the evidence he gave them. But the incestuous media heads would not allow the reports to air.
By the time this court case (if there is one) rolls around, it would be a Cruz or Trump DOJ or State Dept that would deal with the whistleblower, and he/she would come forward and testify on behalf of Beck. Otherwise, Obama’s DOJ/CIA would gag the guy just like Schaffer was gagged by the DOJ when Curt Weldon brought forward the Able Danger issue. And the guy would lose his pension, etc - like all whistleblowers do under the Obama regime.
I don’t agree with everything BEck does and I suspect he needs to get back on his meds, but he has definitely been on the right side of history when it comes to exposing many bad things. It’s too bad that 2008 was a coup, complete with threats to the media which resulted in a propaganda arm such as the gal who wrote this article. She was careful to couch her claims in words that don’t directly accuse people - thus making her unable to be sued, much like the National Enquirer did with the Cruz mistress allegations - but they DID screw up on the headline, which references “Glenn Beck’s lies”.
Then again, why am I even typing because the moderators are pretending that my account is less than a week old.

I don’t think Beck’s defamation suit can hurt Cruz...it shouldn’t. I am not a Cruz supporter but this is a no brainer that there is separation between Beck and Cruz.
Having said that, I think Cruz would be better off (for other reasons) separating himself from Beck...
Thanks for that rational explanation, Beck has done many good things when it comes to exposing hidden details of important issues and this is one of them ,, the only minor flaw I see in your post is that I see the story writer as protected from the headline as most writers do not create their own headlines , a nameless editorial staff writer does that.

No Beck is not a good guy. He is a petty mean spirited psycho who due to drug and alchohol addiction in his early life is now a deranged religious nut. He has zero credibility which is why his media empire is fading away.
For a Presidential candidate to hook up with him and actually allow himself to be filmed letting Beck swear him in on a compass is totally insane.
Beck sat on his radio show and actually talked about stabbing Donald Trump. Then when the SS showed up suddenly he and Stu were talking about Stu. I listened to it and no they were not talking about Stu.
