I haven’t seen it quite that bad, but I have had misgivings about him based on things I was noticing.

It seems that things are becoming more and more obvious by the day though.

It’s like Trump inherited Reagan’s original Teflon... which means the will of the people is with him.

Yes, that seems to be true.

I developed a theory about guys that got piled on by their opposition.

You can trash a guy to a point, but best to do it on one issue at a time. If you just pour out things against him at will, at a certain point the public begins to see this person as the put-upon underdog. They think it isn’t fair.

I think this dynamic bailed Clinton’s butt out after a while. I think we’re seeing it again with Trump.

The major problems for Trump were his changed views. I don’t think the guy as lying. He has changed to become more like us. A lot of people simply would not accept that.

The public likes him, and they think he’s a good guy, like an uncle or someone in their family they know.

He’s kind of a folk hero to some of them.

The GOPe backing Cruz all along? Go sell that horse crap somewhere else. Ted Cruz is despised by the D.C. cartel. Whatever support he gets from them now is a marriage of convenience. They don’t want Trump and all of their stooges failed in the primaries. So they reluctantly and belatedly support Cruz.

If the GOPe were really as powerful as people seem to think they are, Obama would be impeached and Obamacare would be repealed. But he ain’t and it ain’t.

You’re stuck in c. 1996 politically.

It’s a Uniparty.

“If lying Ted is telling the truth, WHERE is the lawsuit against the Enquirer?”

That’s the biggie, in my opinion.

This story’s been clanging for days now, but I haven’t seen or heard any mention of Saint Raphael of Goldman Sachs threatening the National Enquirer with a lawsuit for libel and defamation of character.

I mean, he is innocent, and would rip them apart in court over this, right?

Right?

You never answered me yesterday.

Where’s the lawsuit? If Ted’s innocent, why hasn’t he threatened to sue the National Enquirer for libel and defamation of character?

I mean, he is innocent, and would mop the floor with them in court, right?

Right?

Sorry, Sontagged, this planned character assassination of Ted Cruz has, like Humpty Dumpty, fallen and shattered into a million pieces. And all of Trump’s “horses” and all of Trump’s men won’t be able to put it back together again. The ONLY thing that has been accomplished is for it to make Trump look small, insecure and emotionally immature.

AND it had a BIZARRO WORLD reverse image of Easter weekend. The ATTEMPTED CHARACTER ASSASSINATION OF TED CRUZ CAME TO LIFE IN NATIONAL ENQUIRER ON GOOD FRIDAY. AND THE ATTEMPT CRUCIFIXION OF TED CRUZ DIED ON EASTER SUNDAY.

This all came out only a few days ago. He might be a little busy running for the nomination. If he hasn’t sued by the end of April I’ll join you in scratching my head.

“I don’t think Cruz would have a case. NE is just passing along rumors.”

Don’t kid yourself. Ted is one of the sharpest attorneys in the country. If anyone could use the legal system to put a stop to the National Enquirer stories, it’s Ted.

It’s telling, however, that he hasn’t made a single move in that direction. Instead, he’s going on TV, blaming Trump for his woes. Makes me think it’s all true, and that the last place he wants to fight this out, is in a court room.
