Brussels (AFP) - Belgian riot police fired water cannon on Sunday to disperse far-right football hooligans who disrupted mourners at a shrine for victims of the Brussels attacks, as police arrested several suspects in a series of new raids.
In scenes that compounded a week of grief for Belgians, black-clad protesters shouting anti-immigrant slogans moved in on the makeshift memorial at Place de la Bourse where hundreds of people had gathered in a show of solidarity.
Under-fire Belgian authorities meanwhile detained four terror suspects after carrying out 13 raids as they seek to round up a web of jihadists with links to the carnage in the Belgian capital and to attacks and plots in France.
The clashes between the far-right demonstrators and police underscored the tensions in Belgium after Tuesday's Islamic State suicide attacks on the airport and the metro system in which 31 people died and 340 were wounded.

Why do they call hooligans “Far Right”?
People who value their high standard of living, clean streets, low crime, and general harmony are now ‘far right’. The introduction of Islam into Europe is like having a beautiful flower garden, then running a 14 inch municipal sewer pipe right into the middle of it. You walk out and instead of fragrant blooms you have feces, toilet paper, and tampons floating on a greasy field of unbearable stench.
I guess bikini-clad v. black-clad is too much to ask for this early in the year for protesters.
No doubt many of theses “far-right hooligans” are Democrat by U.S. standards.

I gotta tell ya, I won’t be upset if the Nazi party emerges again in Europe. This time, however, it needs to be rooted in Christianity and dedicated not to the death of Muslims, but their deportation.

The “peaceful mourning event” was officially called off due to security reasons.
All these people showed up instead. They appeared to be angry at both the murderous terrorists and their government, who are demonstrably inept, and possibly colluding with the enemy.

Something’s wrong with this picture.
When a rally for peace is cancelled due to security threats, the irony level is epic.
It is also a total submission to say we can’t even rally to say Muslims are peaceful, because of their threats to kill us while we say Islam means peace.
