Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
me brain

Posted on 03/25/2016 4:02:36 PM PDT by dirtboy

Who would have thought?

Jeb Bush spent $120 million and got knocked out.

Rubio - knocked out.

All the RINOs - gone except one and he is trailing with no chance of winning.

The two anti-GOPe candidates control the path to Cleveland. And what is happening?

We are pissing away our golden opportunity by turning on each other.

If you are for Cruz, please promote Cruz.

If you are for Trump, please promote Trump.

But for God's sake, please turn away from the increasingly bitter feud between the two camps.

This insanity has to stop. Or else the GOPe will find a way to undo the majority we have woven because we are too busy fighting each other.

Please, please, please - keep your powder dry for the real enemy - the GOPe and Hillary.

And pull your punches against the folks here who should be your allies.

How about all pledge themseves to discovering the truth about both candidates on those matters which affect the common good of this country? ONLY!

I will start off by saying I think Cruz a globalist who supports increased legal immigration , a supporter of a North American Union, a Union of the Americas and beyond. That is not a position to promote the common good. It destroys American sovereignty

Hard to imagine some element of team HILLARY wasn’t behind the Trump wife attack and Cruz mistress articles in some way. A brokered GOP convention with some nominee no one really wants is the Democrats’ dream.

Trump, Cruz, and all their zealous supporters have taken the bait. Hillary has probably gained 5% against either of them. People need to wake up and focus on the main enemy.

Yeah, they’re damaging both groups.
The GOPe doesn’t want either of them and is using it’s influence to hurt them both.
Get them and their supporters at each other’s throats.

This mudfight started from a GOPe “pro-Cruz” PAC running an attack on Trump’s wife. Their purpose wasn’t to attack her but was to get Trump and Cruz to cover each other with mud.

“Let’s you and him fight” is one of the oldest political tactics in the book.

The GOPe only has one path to the nomination. And we are facilitating it with these bitter fights.

You've been on this board for 18 years and witnessed all types of wars here. We need to have this fight. I want Trump and Rafael to bloody each other up to a pulp, because in the end, it'll make them stronger.

GAME ON, FEMALE DOGS!

Just because a GOPe unuch candidate has suspended a campaign for now does not mean one won’t get back in before November.

Does anyone recall a guy named Ross Perot?

Lol.

It’s working, nobody is smearing Romney, Gramnesty, and other GOPE’s who are literally electing Hillary.

Oh, spare me. This is uncharted territory with the possibility of a brokered convention and with the anti-establishment massively leading the vote totals.

Well, I feel pretty safe in thinking that Cruz and Trump won’t be appearing on stage together at the convention.

If these two had teamed up they would have been unstoppable. It was looking like they might in the beginning and everyone was thrilled. Trump could have brought the blue dogs and outsiders, Cruz could have brought the conservative bona-fides Trump desperately needs.

But instead they are hell bent on destroying each other, throwing the convention into chaos, insuring the GOPe pulls some dirty tricks that will turn conservatives off to voting, and electing Hillary throwing any chance at restoring any semblance of the rule of law out the window.

ergo: There is no political solution.

Tweedledum versus Tweedledee.

Cruz and Trump both support massive LEGAL immigration - even though new immigrant citizens vote 80% for the Democrat Party.

And a solid majority of Republican voters support massive LEGAL immigration - even though new immigrant citizens vote 80% for the Democrat Party.

Get used to it, folks. Thanks to deranged immigration policies supported by most Republicans, eligible Democrat voters clearly outnumber eligible Republican voters.

If the Democrats find a way to get their core voters to the polls in 2016, Clinton will win the White House easily, no matter how nice Republicans are to each other.

I was overjoyed to see him go down.

Cruz and Trump are killing our only hope of saving the republic. Neither have the maturity for the presidency; and I have supported them both at one time.

You assume that the Republican elites will give Trump the nomination even if he reaches and surpasses 1,237 delegates.

This groundwork has been laid for weeks. Rafael Cruz is the GOPe's hail mary to prevent Trump from getting 1,237 and to install arcane, hypocritical rules that will give other candidates a chance at the nomination even though all of them will have even less delegates and definitely less popular vote totals than Trump.

If Rafael Cruz is the conservative that his naive supporters think he is, he will withdraw from the race and return to the Senate to stop the rest of Obama's agenda.

Look, Donald Trump has been making presidential noises since the 1980s. He has never attacked or hurt anyone until they started attacking him first. Right when he declared, everyone and their Momma in the GOPe started attacking him. And he has a right to defend himself.

Cruz is ineligible to seek the Presidency, and if he is somehow nominated, he will get utterly destroyed by Obama's DOJ and judges and Clinton operatives.

And I'll be sitting in my remote hideaway in the woods getting ready for the Apocalypse.

Amen.

I have contemplated leaving FR sans opus and I have vowed not to read anything about the election.

Most of us are here because we don’t believe or want to be told what to do by the MSM and then act like bullies if you disagree with them.
