Based on the fact that it has brought down politicians like Gary Hart and John Edwards with sex scandal reporting, one can’t totally dismiss the latest from the National Enquirer:
Presidential candidate Ted Cruz is trying to survive an explosive “dirt file” on the finger-wagging conservative senator!
And the new issue of The National ENQUIRER — on newsstands now — reveals how the reports say the staunch Republican is hiding FIVE different mistresses!
“Private detectives are digging into at least five affairs Ted Cruz supposedly had,” claimed a Washington insider.
“The leaked details are an attempt to destroy what’s left of his White House campaign!”
The ENQUIRER reports that Cruz’s claimed mistresses include a foxy political consultant and a high-placed D.C. attorney!
The way the story is phrased (“reports say”, “claimed an insider”) is distancing the magazine from the charges, which is quite different from its presentation of the Hart and Edwards scandals.

Cruz has VALUES...so this is a “scandal”.
Trump has NO VALUES, so he can screw anyone’s wife and it’s not a scandal.
They were right on lots of people.
You can pretend like its all made up if you want, But it will have to be a 5/5 miss by NE for it all to be fake. That’s 4 more people than they had on Edwards!
So far, no word from Ted.
I grew up in the DC area. In the late 60’s and early 70’s there were many females that had a goal of having sex with as many powerful men as they could. My guess is that the situation hasn’t changed much.
I doubt she’s stupid enough to confirm a total lie.
You know, I’d really like to know if old One Eye Harry Reid has ever done that. Now, that would be interesting news just for the shear grossness factor.
If 1 is true it destroys Cruz. Five? Really? That is meant to put it over the top from rumor, but even as much as I dislike Cruz, I truly hope this isn't true.
And if not true, then who? Kasich? Trump? This has had to have been out there for quite a while. Stone had hinted about something like this. Even someone on FR said they knew of this. So, it doesn't seem just made up out of thin air.
And if true? Cruz should have handled this with the "troubled marriage" kind of stuff before ever having announced for President.
Who knows where this goes. Could be the closing curtain on an awful Republican campaign season. Yuk.

I tend to agree. It is important for any candidate to knock down damaging stories immediately.
Don’t wait, don’t “rise above it,” or other such nonsense.
If you remain silent, the assertion is viewed as true.
There is no way out for them, other than for NE to retract everything.
If it is true, even one, and he ADMITS it, then it’s over for his run.
Of he denies it, then the drips will start. He will be dogged everyday as info leaks and stories are sold, and it will be over for him as well.
Rush, Levin, and the media will soon show up with their Cruz mind control tricks.
