NEW YORK — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz cr97% claimed that if nobody manages to earn the needed 1,237 delegates prior to the Republican National Convention, he will win the nomination “one way or the other” at the convention. Cruz rallied supporters at the Women’s National Republican Club in midtown Manhattan Wednesday afternoon in an effort to win over New York voters. Although the Texas Republican received cheers for the shots he took at New York Democrats, he was later asked by reporters how he could possibly smooth over relations with Empire State residents after describing Donald Trump as having “New York values” at a debate last month.
“Coming from New York, you all have seen first-hand the disasters that come from liberal democratic policies that are foisted on the people of New York. And Donald Trump over and over again has been supporting Andrew Cuomo and Hillary Clinton and Anthony Weiner and Eliot Spitzer and Charlie Rangel,” Cruz told his supporters.
“So next time you think about all the disastrous policies that have been foisted on the people of New York, you can thank Donald Trump for bankrolling those efforts,” he said, later noting that the New York primary, a contest of 95 delegates, is a “battleground” state for him and that he plans to compete here “vigorously.”

Seems to me they’ll only let him be the nominee if they’re 100% positive he’ll lose to Clinton.

Call Trump Machiavellian, call Trump amoral. But don’t call him someone who has not sincerely attempted to embrace what his campaign motto is. Businessmen do that kind of thing daily. They see their company’s bread buttered from a different direction... now the company changes direction. Sometimes on a dime.
I’d rather have this, than someone who thinks the Man Upstairs is going to stuff his ballot box.
My choices were, in order:
Walker
Cruz
and then Trump.
The more I learn about Trump, the more I know he is the man for the massive job ahead of us.

This is a once in a generation, no - a once in a lifetime chance to vote for someone for whom the White House is a step DOWN in both lifestyle and income. Trump needs not the fame, the influence, the paycheck, or the lavish lifestyle. He already has those things. As far as I can tell, he is putting up with all this crap for all the right reasons:
He’s a man who has done it all. Now he is hoping to leave something behind, not just for his kids & grandkids...but for own his parents and grandparents...and the rest of us.

The salient point in this piece is that GEORGE PATAKI backs Cruz. One more Insider Eastern Establishment Rino to add to the growing list (Mitt, Jeb, Lindsay, etc etc)
Donald’s left wing voters from the rat party will be disappointed to hear this.
He should have just said, “by hook or by crook, I’m going to get the nomination!!”
He is admitting that he has no chance of winning the nomination honestly, by getting to 1237. He is now in the exact same position as Kasich, just hanging in there to pick off enough delegates here and there to keep Trump from getting to 1237.
Just doing the establishment’s dirty work for them.
It’s not going to work, Trump just needs to win about 53 percent of the remaining delegates, and he gets to 1237, and with NY coming up followed quickly by 5 NE states, that will bring his total to over well 900. Then he’ll just have to get 250 out of the remaining 507 delegates to get to 1237.
In a sense... it almost looks like the story of Christ. Left heaven, got crucified for us, rose again to lift us to heaven, after telling off a bunch of hypocrites.
I look for these divine riffs because that is the tune God plays. I don’t care if God is playing it on a heavenly harp or on a worldly kazoo. The tune is notable, and props to you for noticing this.
