Do American Elites See Themselves As Superior To God?

Posted on 03/24/2016 8:57:37 AM PDT by pinochet

American engineers are the most innovative in the history of the world. They have built space probes that have been able to travel as far as the planet Jupiter, and closely study the planet and its moons.

This has led American elites to believe that they can be just as innovative in the field of morality. A lot of people will refer to same sex marriage, and holding up Caitlyn Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Miley Cyrus as role models for American youth.

The problem goes much deeper than that. It includes paying more money to people on welfare, than to people who work for minimum wage jobs. Think about the injustice that is done to honest, hardworking, poor people, who would rather work for minimum wage than go on welfare. Also, think of all the lazy, able-bodied slobs, who are defrauding the disablility system by claiming to be disabled. The poor guy working on minimum wage is supporting them through the payroll and sales taxes that he is paying.

The sickening American elites are encouraging this.

The future of America will be difficult for honest Americans.

Yes. Most of American Elites consider the State as their god, and themselves as the proper ones to control the State.

I know of one allegedly-American politician who loves hearing "superior to God".

Stopped reading right there. Pluto is farther away than Jupiter, sport. The Oort cloud is much farther than either of them.

To be honest, I don't believe that it's primarily the astronautical engineers who are to blame for the moral decay in this nation.

Also, the first fly-by of Jupiter and its moons was in 1973 (by Pioneer 10). After that, its sister probe, Pioneer 11, went on to explore Saturn. Since then, further spacecraft (Voyager 1 and 2, New Horizons) have gone even farther, and explored still more-distant planets.

In short: This screed is a mess!

This screed is a mess but the fact remains: the elites see themselves as superior to the mouth-breathing masses.

They see humans solely as tools and units of labor.

We must defeat and destroy them if our society and culture is to survive.

Why do you focus on Elites?

“Do American Elites See Themselves As Superior To God?”

They sure seem to assume what Jesus would do.

"...This has led American elites to believe ..."

Let's stop right there.

No such thing as "American elites".

Elites are by definition transnational. They owe allegiance to no country, and have business interests in many countries, not just one.

What the author calls American elites could more accurately called the donor class in American politics.

No so much superior to God but they don’t believe in God at all which makes them all their own god. Once you dismiss the concept of a transcendent God then there is no such thing as objective morality - only personal preference and social convention. Nothing is right or wrong only legal or illegal. And that can change from year to year, month to month or week to week.

Absolutely. That is why a true “Justice” System only promotes “public virtue”. (Montesquieu). Without Virtue, there is no possibility of being “Free” was understood by ALL the Founding Fathers. Virtue is embedded and habituated in children BY PARENTAL LOVE ONLY-———so the Marxists destroyed the Natural Family-—made mandatory indoctrination centers to remove children from their parents so the children could be conditioned and brainwashed into believing vice is virtue-—and in habituating hate through grouping/classism.

We are herd animals and as such it is easy to create hate when “grouping” everyone——since we “like” the same naturally.

Our so-called “Justice” System was destroyed by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes and planted Marxists on the courts, who destroyed our Virtue system, and replaced it with Stalin’s Vice System——were a “Just” Law can promote vice and irrational, evil behaviors and theft and unequal “law”.

As the Nuremberg Trials reiterated-—When “law” ceases to be Just (virtuous), it ceases to be “law”. As Justice Marshall stated, it is “null and void”. All unconstitutional laws are “null and void” and ALL judges have the DUTY to declare such unconstitutional “laws” “null and void”.

But-—they don’t-—they are evil or dumb and are forcing a fascist state on us.

[...] the elites see themselves as superior to the mouth-breathing masses.

While I wouldn't have used quite those words to describe them, I myself see myself as belonging to the elite: I have an education, a career, no debt, and I support my family. Through decades of thrift and prudent investment, I have amassed sufficient funds to have no worries about my retirement. By virtue of those facts, I (and probably a large fraction of all FReepers) belong automatically to the elite, as I would define them - as opposed to the teeming masses of illegal aliens, multi-generational welfare families, criminal underclass hoodies, etc. blighting the American cultural landscape.

Of course, if, by "elite," you mean the super-rich who have never really worked a day in their lives, trust-fund babies, hedge-fund managers, and the like - then I most certainly am of the "hoi polloi."

Yes. And the Bible is chock-full of examples of what happens to leaders who adopt THAT stance.

The whole problem is that the elites simply DON’T believe in Him. If they did, they’d act differently, knowing that the Creator set certain standards of human behavior and will ultimately judge them.

Of course not. They believe that if there were a God, they would be superior to Her.

Whenever Trump releases his tax returns we’d know how much he donated to Planned Parenthood (they do “wonderful” things) and LGBT as well.

I think there needs to be a finer point on it. They resist God’s moral authority because it reminds them that there’s a standard of conduct and morality that is outside of them.

It reminds them of their place in the natural-supernatural order. It’s humbling. They’re not a humble breed. So this message is almost always greeted with hostility.
